Mehr als perfekt, einfach paradiesisch

Alles! War eines meiner besten Urlaube.
Erste Reihe zum indischen Ozean! Ich habe mir ein Traum erfüllt.
Hotel war sehr sauber, James - der manager einfach ein Herzchen. Alle waren so freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vom Check in bis Check out war es eine 1000 für mich.
Unbedingt hier im Restaurant essen! Sehr sehr lecker! Zimmer groß und luxuriös, Pool ist clean und Mitarbeiter immer freundlich.
Danke für alles Maisha Team. Ich werde wieder kommen.

Terrible hotel! Only good on the insta pictures
Pros:

The hotel is right on the beach, and it’s well situated in Paje. It’s also very pretty, despite the fact that nothing works (the shower constantly overflowing, the ventilator not properly installed, the curtains falling—with the windows not being privacy friendly).

Cons:

I would like to preface this by saying we were robbed in this hotel. This was an extremely unfortunate experience that the hotel refused to acknowledge and take responsibility for. Adding to this, the service is absolutely terrible compared to other wonderful hotels in Zanzibar. Our check in date was not registered properly and we got almost thrown out by the hotel at night during check in, just to be bothered the next morning at a crazy hour asking to pay our room (which we had done and had proof of). Half of the items on the menu (which are not seasonal) weren’t available, and it could take up to an hour for us to get breakfast (and receive it cold). As someone that has worked in the hotel industry in Africa for a very long time, this has to be my most deceptive stay.

Im Großen und Ganzen sehr empfehlenswert!
Pros:

Sehr leckeres Essen zu sehr guten Preisen, welches man mit Blick auf das Meer genießen kann. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit bequemen Bett und sehr guter Klimaanlage.
Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal kümmern sich um einen. Sauberer Pool und gepflegte Anlage mit top Lage.

Traum Hotel!
Pros:

Unser Aufenthalt im Maisha Matamu Boutique Hotel in Paje war einfach fantastisch und hat unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die unglaublich herzlichen und aufmerksamen Gastgeber, die sich jederzeit darum bemüht haben, dass wir uns rundum wohlfühlen. Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, zuvorkommend und stets mit einem Lächeln zur Stelle. Eine solche Gastfreundschaft erlebt man nur selten.

Die Lage direkt am traumhaften Strand von Paje ist perfekt. Man genießt einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer und kann die entspannte Atmosphäre Sansibars in vollen Zügen genießen.

Auch kulinarisch war unser Aufenthalt ein absolutes Highlight. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen hervorragend – frisch, abwechslungsreich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Das Essen im Restaurant war generell erstklassig. Besonders der Hummer war sensationell – ohne Übertreibung der beste Hummer, den wir je gegessen haben!

Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet, sehr sauber und bieten alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Wert hier auf Qualität und Details gelegt wird.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit und haben jeden Moment genossen. Es war einer dieser Urlaube, bei denen man am liebsten gar nicht abreisen möchte. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt!

Loved our stay at Maisha Matamu! The location in Paje is hard to beat – right on the beach and in the middle of Zanzibar’s best kitesurfing spot. Whether you’re here to kite or just relax and watch the action on the water, it’s the perfect place to be.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every meal was fresh, tasty, and made with care.

A great place with a relaxed atmosphere and an amazing beachfront location. We would definitely come back!

Rundum perfekter Aufenthalt!

Wir hatten einen rundum wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Maisha Matsmu Boutique Hotel und waren vom ersten Moment an begeistert. Die gesamte Anlage ist unglaublich schön gestaltet, sehr gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird.

Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Sauberkeit: Alles war jederzeit makellos und sehr hochwertig gepflegt. Auch das Essen war hervorragend – abwechslungsreich, frisch und einfach richtig lecker.

Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an die Besitzerinnen – selten haben wir so sympathische, warme und engagierte Gastgeberinnen erlebt. Man fühlt sich nicht wie ein Gast, sondern wirklich willkommen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls traumhaft – ruhig, schön gelegen und gleichzeitig perfekt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Der Strand war einfach fantastisch: sauber, wunderschön und ideal zum Entspannen.

Insgesamt eines der schönsten Hotels, in denen wir bisher waren. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können dieses Boutique Hotel aus voller Überzeugung weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Zeit!

We really loved it there.
Pros:

Very spacious, clean, nice space in front of the room. The fact that they were on the beach was amazing. The presence of the security guard stopped us from being harassed by salesmen.

Kann es wirklich jedem empfehlen🤍
Pros:

Es ist mein dritter Aufenthalt im Maisha Matamu und ich freue mich jedes Mal mehr auf die Rückkehr. Von allen Hotels in Paje ist dieses für mich das schönste und es wird jedes Mal noch magischer.
Der tropische Garten ist atemberaubend und schafft eine ruhige, private Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wie im echten Sansibar fühlt.
Auch die Zimmer überzeugen: modern, stilvoll und mit liebevollen lokalen Details. Ein Ort, an dem man sich sofort zuhause fühlt.

All staff were excellent - so friendly and happy to see you each day. A lovely atmosphere and great location.
Food was really good - particularly the Thai soup! Jenny the dog was adorable.

Für einen Strandurlaub zu empfehlen!
Pros:

Das Personal war echt super, sehr aufmerksam und immer ein Lächeln und ein nettes Wort. Auch die Lage direkt am Strand war toll. Der Pool hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen und auch die Preise für Essen und Getränke waren fair. Unser Zimmer war recht neu und auch sehr sauber. Der Strand direkt vorm Hotel war im Gegensatz zum restlichen Strand echt sauber und aufgeräumt.

Cons:

Leider waren die Outdoormöbel teilweise echt schrottig und müssten dringend erneuert werden, auch die Unterlagen am Pool laden nicht gerade dazu ein sich drauf zu setzen/legen. Bei solch einer Anlage und dem Preis hätten wir hier echt mehr erwartet….sehr schade!

An unforgettable beachfront stay with amazing food, wonderful people, and the perfect holiday atmosphere.
Pros:

This is already my third time staying at Maisha Matamu Boutique, and every single visit has been better than the last. The hotel keeps improving its facilities and atmosphere, and this time I was honestly positively overwhelmed.

Everyone at the hotel is incredibly friendly and makes you feel completely relaxed and welcome, giving you the perfect holiday feeling from the moment you arrive.

Even though there are several restaurants nearby, the best food was definitely at Maisha Matamu. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The bar service was also excellent — you are always well taken care of.

Another huge highlight is the location: the hotel is directly on the beach, which makes the whole experience even more special.

I can highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again.
