Basic hotel, but clean, quiet location and the staff are super nice. They even offered to let me shower after I came back from a tour to pick up my backpack I left at the reception when I checked out earlier that morning.
Was welcomed late at night with no issue, room was large, shower hot, bed comfortable, great wifi and cable TV.
It was stated power points are next to the bed, but we didn't have any on our side of the room.
The hostel is located in a relatively safe area, but just anywhere in Peru, watch for pickpocketers. Few minutes from Ica terminal and the owner offers a pick up as a service. Staff are nice people.
1. Bathroom. It was already on the clogged side when we arrived and after a couple of days it stopped working at all (no, we were not flushing toilet papers or other things), the good thing is that we got our room changed for free to another one but overall the plumbing in this facility is not very good. Cannot be sure though that it is not just an Ica issue because touristic places bathrooms were much worse, to the point that you cannot flush at all because there is no water.
2. Cleanliness. The bathroom could use some improvement but so far usable.
3. The lights. Once it gets dark, the light on the balcony gets on. The bed is right in front of the balcony window so you get a lot of unnecessary light that could disrupt your sleeping.
4. I don’t know if it is Ica’s thing but the highest 20cm of our room door was a glass. Too high for people to see if they pass by they could totally see if they used a ladder. Made us quite uncomfortable.
