Very nice staff! The view was very worth it. Breakfast and dinner were good.

Nous avons passé deux nuits absolument géniales dans cet établissement. Tout était parfait :
• Le cadre : Tout simplement magnifique, un vrai havre de paix.
• La piscine : Elle offre une vue incroyable, c’est sans doute l’un des points forts de l’hôtel !
• La cuisine : La nourriture était excellente, un régal du petit-déjeuner au dîner.
• L'accueil : Le propriétaire est très gentil et aux petits soins pour ses clients.
Nous conseillons cet endroit à 100% pour ceux qui cherchent calme et beauté.

Nous avons tout aimé : de l'accueil, à l'hôtel en lui-même, les repas et enfin à la vue à couper le souffle...
L'accueil d'abord : Sumith, le manager de l'hôtel, est un homme charmant, généreux dans les conversations et les recommandations, intelligent et expérimenté. Nous avons eu des échanges authentiques et agréables. Merci à toi Sumith.

L'hôtel : extrêmement propre! Et très bien équipé. Nous étions dans la suite qui a un lit double géant, une salle de bain agréable mais surtout... Une vue vers la montagne et la piscine en contrebas. Difficile de faire plus beau. L'endroit est à 20 minutes de tuk tuk des jardins botaniques de Kandy. Cela fait du bien d'être au calme après l'agitation de la ville. L'entrée de l'hôtel est grande et belle, avec tout de suite cette vue imprenable. La piscine est de bonne taille, très propre. La baignade au coucher de soleil est recommandée !

Repas : petit déj varié et délicieux, à l'occidentale. Ça fait du bien de faire une petite pause de nourriture locale le matin 🙂. Et repas du soir délicieux et variés. Avec une cuisine locale adaptée aux papilles occidentales et des plats internationaux à des prix raisonnables. Et toujours la vue magnifique du restaurant.

Bref, si c'était à refaire, je prévoirais une nuit supplémentaire pour avoir une journée entière de farniente dans ce lieu magique.

Staying here was such an incredible experience. The staff were amazing and very attentive. The food was reasonably priced and super delicious with lots of options. We even asked for some things off the menu and it was accommodated easily. It was about 30 minutes from the centre of Kandy and 20 minutes drive from the botanical gardens.
The view was probably one of the best I’ve ever seen. The pool was wonderful and the sunsets were just incredible. Thank you so much for such a great experience.

It was a difficult one to try and decide how to rate this place because the staff in the room you swimming pool were exceptional. Issue I had was once I left the hotel to go anywhere I had great difficulty getting back due to the address on Booking.com the intend miles away from the actual site so it was very hard to use pick me or Uber as it didn’t give them the correct address. If I used.Tuk tuk they seem to want to increase their price dramatically as they didn’t want to go out as this place is up in the hills approximately 25 minutes from the centre of Candy and the road is exceptionally steep and the last part that only a steep but he’s quite bumpy. I had one incident where the return journey.tuk tuk driver once he realised where it was stated that his vehicle had an issue he couldn’t take any further and as a solo female over 60 traveller being told this in the dark on the side of the road was quite upsetting. I refused to leave until an alternative tuk tuk came. He also was rather sceptical but in fairness he did get me there. This left me feeling concerned about not leaving about getting back if I went out for the day hence my score. I did feed this back to the owner as it’s not a reflection on the hotel service location and views, et cetera it is the transport issue. Otherwise, if this was sorted, it would be a 10. As a purpose of going to Kandy is to to explore the history and surrounding area. For reference it was 2000.sr (6 UKP) in Tuk Tuk if the hotel organise one for you and they could organise one to come back subject to you having access to Internet to let them know where you were to be collected. This doesn’t sound a lot in comparison to anywhere else if you keep going out it was a bit of a drain when you consider three nights at this place cost less than £100 which was excellent value. Breakfast is not included and can be purchased and they do offer a nice evening meal.

Stunning views and friendly staff. Food was excellent and pool was a huge bonus. Sitting on our room balcony, or one of the various hotel balconies, with a book and cup of tea was bliss.
We had chosen the hotel for its out of the way location, as our previous hotel was in a town centre.

I've stayed at SkyLodge 4 times, and I don't know why it took me so long to write a review. It has been my favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka! Let's start with the breathtaking view and the large swimming pool, with a fantastic view over the mountains and the sunsets. At night, the mist covers the peak and creates an almost mystical atmosphere.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, the restaurant has some of the best food I've had in any hotel in Sri Lanka, and the overall atmosphere is just a perfect blend of cozy and comfortable. It is definitely a bit far from Kandy's city center, but I would recommend anyone with a car (or just booking a taxi from the train station) to stay there, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, in one of the most peaceful place I've been to in Sri Lanka, and with one of the best price for value. I am leaving Sri Lanka soon, but I wish I could come again.

Great view and stunning scenery from both the room and the pool. The infinity-style pool offers an amazing view. The room, pool, and dining area were all very clean. The staff provided great, friendly service, and the food was clean and delicious. Truly worth the money.

La vue incroyable depuis les chambres et la piscine. Le dîner très bien. Le petit dej très bien aussi. Les chambres très belles et confortables. Piscine très froide mais ça fait quand meme du bien pour se rafraîchir. Le plus bel hôtel de notre séjour. Ils se sont organisés le matin pour avancer le petit dej d'une demie heure et nous trouver une voiture pour nous accompagner a Peradeniya.
