Das Hotel überzeugt mit einem sehr guten und reichhaltigen Frühstück und modern eingerichteten Zimmern, in denen man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Die ruhige Einzellage bietet einen wunderschönen Blick über die weite Landschaft bis hin zu den Gletschern und macht den Aufenthalt besonders erholsam.

Die Lage ist außerdem ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu verschiedenen Gletschern. Höfn ist ebenfalls nicht weit entfernt und gut erreichbar.

Insgesamt eine sehr schöne und ruhig gelegene Unterkunft mit modernem Komfort, einem tollen Frühstück und einer fantastischen Aussicht.

Cons:

Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen ist der vergleichsweise hohe Preis. Bei diesem Preisniveau hätten wir uns einen zusätzlichen Wellnessbereich oder zumindest einen Hot Pot gewünscht – gerade bei der beeindruckenden Landschaft wäre das eine schöne Ergänzung gewesen.

Economy Zimmer sind für niedrige Ansprüche
Pros:

Tolle Lage mit Blick auf die Berge und 14 km von Höfn entfernt. Sehr bequeme Betten, zwei Kissen pro Person, hochwertig, genau wie die Bettdecke.
An der Rezeption wurden wir freundlich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass unser gebuchtes Zimmer über keinen Aufzug verfügt und uns wurde ein Upgrade angeboten, was wir abgelehnt haben. Der fehlende Aufzug hat uns nicht gestört.

Cons:

Beim betreten des Zimmers war klar: Die Economy Zimmer brauchen eine Renovierung. Hier ist die Zeit stehen geblieben. 80er Feeling. Es kann nicht sein, dass man für knapp 300 Euro / Nacht ein Zimmer bekommt, wo die alten Fenster sich nicht richtig schließen lassen und die kalte Luft reinströmt. Duschkabine unhygienisch und das Wasser fließt nur mühsam ab. Nachttischlampe nur auf einer Seite des Bettes.
