Astounding views of the lake! This property is one of the higher buildings at Sun Moon Lake. It’s an old building and needs some TLC…it must have been glorious in its day! My room had really high ceilings and was really spacious. Plus the view of the lake was fantastic! I spent one day inside working and looking out at the view because it was breathtaking. There were spots on the bathroom mirror that I had to wipe clean, but everything else was okay. There’s no lock box and the bed was the hardest I’ve had in a hotel, plus the towels really needed replacement…but the spaciousness of the room was awesome and the views made up for what else it lacked. I would stay again…
It’s an old building and needs some TLC…Lots of floors are not being used…so it’s seen better days.
Just the location
So many things. It was dirty, bugs everywhere, extremely hard mattress

The location was very close to the Shuishe pier and the old street there. Car parking was also available for guests for free. Our room was in the 11th floor with a small balcony to see the beautiful Sun-Moon Lake. The size of our room was spacious for our sleeping. The room was also very quiet without any noise. I will definitely to check in again next time.
We suggest that will be better to have a shower curtain installed to avoid the spray on the toilet paper.
Avery average. Worn down hotel that had its shine in the 90s.
It’s suited for Chinese tourists only as the signs are only in Chinese and we couldn’t figure out how to work the shower head.
Very nice view of the lake and a free room upgrade upon arrival.
The mattress was quite hard.
Location and lake views
Bath tub no shower
The hotel is very near to the pier which is very convenient. The ambiance is good and so the facilities.
The staff are not tourist friendly. They don't know how to speak even a little english so that they won't have any miscommunication with the tourist. I had issue with the payment which was deducted twice on two of my cards. I ask them politely if the other payment will be refunded. They can't understand since they dont know how to speak english. Understandable the number of people who's in line with me during that time. The staff seems to be annoyed when I kept on repeating my question. I work in Taiwan so I have ARC thinking that I don't need to bring my passport with me. The staff assumed right away that I came from other country for a tour in Taiwan and they look so unwilling to listen to what I'm trying to explain even if im showing them a Google translator. The man with the glasses seems to be annoyed when I show them my screen for a translator they are not willing to assist since they seems to be in a hurry untill I show them my ARC. That's when they assisted me with our booking. I think the management should require their staff to learn english because they're not gonna be accomodating local customers. There are lot of tourists everywhere and they will not know which of them knows their language or not. second. The room has dirt everywhere. Especially in the bathroom. The sink still have the coffee in there. The used cup of glass from the previous customer and some hair in the bath tab which resulted us to go down the lobby the next day and ask for someone to clean our room while we are doing our tour. They just replace the towels, added some water but still did not even remove the dirt in the bathroom.
Location was great with its own parking lot!
Mattress was damn hard and stiff. If your seeking comfortable suggest to look elsewhere.
The view and the location are great. Booked their largest room on floor 25 and the view can’t be beat. And it is right near the pier and old street for food and shopping. We had two actual bedrooms and bathrooms and a large living room with dining table which was nice.
The hotel is old and just needs some TLC. The beds were too firm even for us who like firm beds.
Wonderful view of the lake from 21st floor. Super sunrise. Great wooden funiture on the ground floor
No breakfast, with the lovely viw from the top floor is a disappointment.
Convenient and close to shops. Good view of the lake.
Bed was very firm (we may have been sleeping on slats) which wasn’t very comfortable if you’re used to sleeping on more comfortable mattresses.
The view is great.
Place was not clean, hot water was broken so we couldn’t shower.
