Perfect Athens base and super attentive staff. Well recommended.

The hotel was amazing and right in the heart of the city with loads nearby.

Excellent place of stay, with an amazing location to cater to both Monstriaki and Plaka
Pros:

It was a spacious loft room on the 4th floor
the highlight was the hot tub / jacuzzi on the terrace which in the cool evenings was fantastic to use end of the day
also the breakfast served at the restaurant downstairs was excellent
above all! the location, we have walked 10 mins into all the places of interest that we had listed out
best of food and drinks were around the hotel
the front office staff was amazing too

Cons:

very little not to like, just that wish we had a bit of a view from the room....

הגענו ביום חמישי בצהריים. המזגן לא עבד המעלית לא עבדה הספא לא עבד, הסתבר בדיעבד שלמעשה ימים לא היו מזגנים עוד לפני שהגענו ואף אחד לא טרח לעדכן. בעלי נכה גפיים בקושי מתהלך עם מקל קמנו בבוקר אחרי שלא ישנו כל הלילה מהחום ואז הסתבר שגם המעלית לא עובדת, הבריכה והספא לא עבדו. בבוקר עזבנו למלון אחר לא רחוק משם גם 4כוכבים הבדל שמיים וארץ. המלון הוזמן ב 13.6 ואנחנו הגענו ב 18.6. מיותר לציין שלפני שהגענו דאגו לשלוח הצעות לגבי הזמנת עיסויים, ארוחות וכל מיני שרותים שיש במלון כדי שנזמין מראש אבל לדאוג להגיד שיש בעיה עם החשמל זה לא נאמר למרות שהיה מספיק זמן לשנות מלון. לא הוצעה חלופה אחרת.
בקיצור חוויה איומה. אגב אנחנו זוג בני 70+
תתרחקו מהמלון הזה לא הייתי נותנת אפילו ניקוד של אכסנית נוער

Este hotel nos arruino nuestras vacaciones

Solo destacar que la ubicación del hotel es muy buena cerca de todos los sitios importantes y el edificio del hotel es bonito. El resto MUY MAL, nada recomendable

Cons:

Nuestra estancia en este hotel fue un desastre total, era el regalo de cumpleaños para mi madre y desde el día 15 hasta el 19 no tuvimos aire acondicionado (llegamos el día 11 de junio al hotel), con temperaturas por encima de 29 ºC, la única opción era abrir la venta y la puerta que daba al balcón soportando el espantoso ruido constante del exterior y la claridad intensa que ya aparece desde las 5:30 am, poniendo en riesgo la salud de mi madre, que tiene problemas cardíacos y su tensión arterial era imposible en aquellas condiciones estabilizarla. El personal del hotel nunca ofreció disculpas ni posibles soluciones, nos decían solo si quieren irse márchense y el servicio de atención a Booking tampoco ayudó, incluso exponiéndole la situación de salud de mi madre. Solo nos decían que esperaran que ellos hablan con el hotel (atención a esto, porque muy bueno todo en el momento de comprarles estancias y luego poco eficaces en buscar soluciones rápidas cuando estas en problemas).
El desayuno es a la carta (todos los días lo mismo, sin variar en nada), de poca calidad y cantidad, todo en pequeñísimas cantidades, si querías un segundo café / infusión tienes que pagarlo, el servicio ineficaz, lento y tienes que repetirle una y otra vez lo que quieres porque al parecer te entienden pero luego te traen lo que ellos quieren. Tuvimos que adelantar nuestro regreso, comprar nuevos vuelos y cancelar las excursiones que teníamos previstas, sin ninguna asistencia real ni ayuda.
El día de la salida, en la recepción NADIE nos dio una disculpa por estas noches agónicas intentando dormir / descansar a mas de 29 ºC, con ruido y luz intensa, solo se preocuparon porque el día de nuestra entrada no incluí mi dirección de correo en la ficha de huéspedes, y para finalizar nuestra estancia nos encontramos con el ascensor roto, teniendo que bajar todas nuestras maletas por una escalera peligrosa, estrecha e inclinada. No recomiendo este hotel bajo ninguna circunstancia.

Lovely well located boutique hotel, ideal for an Athens mini break
Pros:

Great central location. Room clean and had effective a/c.
Staff amazingly friendly and helpful. Our first room was close to reception and a bit noisy, but it was absolutely no problem to switch to a quieter room.
Beautiful breakfast available. And we really recommend the restaurant with its fine dining options prepared by up and coming chef, Chris Sodiropoulos, giving a welcome different option to the myriad of Taverna menus in the locality.

A gem in the center of Athens
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at 1890 Athens Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located, but what truly made our experience exceptional was the outstanding staff.
A special thank you to Anna, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcomed.
We would also like to thank Giannis for his cheerful attitude and warm hospitality. He was always helpful, positive, and eager to assist with anything we needed.
The level of service provided by the team was remarkable and made our visit to Athens even more memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
