Location excellent. Staff very friendly. Great decoration. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Cons:

Late at night it was a bit noisy but we were in the centre. A late night game of football right outside the hotel did keep us awake

Acropolis House- I would stay here again
Pros:

The staff are lovely and the room was big enough for one person to move around easily. The breakfast was simple and delicious. Everything was within a 5-10 minute walk with restaurants just 2 mins away. The area was quiet and safe.

Cons:

I wouldn't say I didn't like anything but some things might bother other guests. There are sprial staircases to go up to get to rooms so that may pose a problem for those with bigger bags or mobility issues. The building is older so if you want a flashy hotel, this isnt it. It is a family run hotel and has been taken card of as an older building is. Also you leave your key on the counter when you go out which may bother some people. It has a huge key ring so I was happy not to have to lug it around. I always felt safe. Even travelling on my own.

Pros:

La ubicación es la mejor de Atenas. Todo lo importante a corta distancia a pie. Además Plaka es la mejor zona para turismo, con muchos bares, restaurantes y tabernas para comer. Pasear de noche por la zona es maravilloso y seguro. Por último, desde las ventanas del pasillo del 3er piso se puede ver la Acropolis, siendo la vista nocturna espectacular.

Cons:

La propiedad es antigua y no tiene ascensores, y subir tres pisos por escaleras con el equipaje no es para cualquiera. Además algunas habitaciones tienen baños privados pero fuera de la habitación. En nuestro caso el baño quedaba al final del pasillo, o sea que había que salir de la habitación y recorrer un pasillo para ir al baño o bañarse.

Pros:

Acropolis House has been our second home in Athens for close to 20 years. We have returned with friends, with family and just to rekindle old memories. We have stayed in almost every room and now that we're not on a backpacker budget we always try for the family room with balcony. It has a surprise Acropolis view (not from the balcony unfortunately) and a comfortable balcony on a quiet pedestrian street. Acropolis House has maintained it's original features meaning no lifts. The family room is all the way up and all the way down to the end of the building. The location is unbeatable and the warm familiar greetings may keep you coming back for years like us.

Cons:

It's a classic because it has the narrow hallways and small rooms of a traditional Greek family pension. If you demand luxury and modern convenience this is not for you.
