Pros:

It’s located in the most prime location just opposite to the famous temple of tooth relic (Buddha temple)

Eatery joints , Kandy Lake, City centre Mall everything is walkable .

We tried both it was really good and yummy 😋

Fabulous
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Heritage Boutique Hotel. The location is fantastic – right next to the temple on a quiet street, and within easy walking distance of the temple, the lake, and the city centre. It was perfectly situated for exploring while still feeling peaceful and relaxing.

The room was exceptional – without doubt the best we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka, and possibly one of the best from all our travels. It was beautifully decorated with charming period Kandyan features and incredibly spacious. The bed was so comfortable we genuinely didn’t want to get up in the morning! The bathroom was equally spacious, with a powerful shower, excellent water pressure, and reliable hot water – such a treat.

The service was outstanding. Our host, Sahan, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and truly made our stay extra special. His warmth and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

We would absolutely choose to stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Cons:

We would have preferred a pool, but we completely understand that due to the property’s space and central location, this isn’t possible. It certainly didn’t take away from what was otherwise a fantastic stay.

Pros:

An excellent location with friendly staff. We were greeted by Sahan who made us very welcome. The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfy. Sahan was extremely helpful and helped us book our onward taxi. I wish we could have stayed longer

Having to change bedrooms on the second day of our stay. An inconvenience as we only stayed the two nights!

Rummet fantastisk. Personalen likasü. Fick superfint hjälp med firandet av min fÜdelsedag, med rekommendation av toppenrestaurang (Sinani) och fÜdelsedagsbakelse pü morgonen. Läget är supercentralt.

Cons:

Problemet var att rummet inte har fĂśnster och dĂśrren kommer ut till en veranda som ligger precis mot en trafikerad gata och har bilparkering rakt framfĂśr. Har ingen egentlig reception och frukosten serveras pĂĽ intilliggande cafĂŠ.

Convenient and comfy stay
Pros:

An amazing boutique right outside the temple gate.
Clean and large rooms. Been a city hotel its surprisingly quiet in the area. Full of history. Speak to the GM Roshan for a story of the place and the nearby buildings. Very interesting and informative.
Top notch service by our young and handsome butler Sahan. Super convenient if you are coming to the maligawa pooja for couple of days. Parking right in front. They have a small cafe with good breakfast and some really good coffee.
Will definitely return and recommend. Kudos team for great service and hospitality.

Pros:

We loved the “colonial” building in the old town, very authentic. It was very close to the temple of the tooth and local shops/houses; this made us feel we were living in a very authentic part of town. There were also some nice bars and restaurant nearby. If you want the big hotel With perfect modern facilities and fancy restaurants nearby, you should stay south of the lake, if you want to experience the colonial and local vibe in a nice and well kept building, then this is the place for you. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a very comfortable stay.

Cons:

Some rooms don’t have windows so they can be very dark during the day, but usually if you are in kandy you spend the day outside so the lack of window makes it feel very safe and quiet at night.
There is no reception, but staff are available on site. There is a bar right next to the rooms where staff can be found and where you can buy breakfast, although this was not the best in my opinion.
