The pillows where very poor and uncomfortable. Asked for new ones at reception but never got them. Reported a broken toilet seat on the Monday and still not fixed by Thursday. menu been the same for the last 12 months, very boring now.
Was away for two nights with wife for a funeral. Bridgewood was excellent, from our late evening check-in through to the checkout.
We used the pool and sauna after the wake. I used the gym on the second morning.
Breakfast was excellent.
All staff we encountered were polite and professional.
The rooms don't have air-conditioning, which would be a problem for me for a lot of the year as my sleep is very temperature related.
Nothing!
Room was old and in all honesty we upgraded the room and it was awful, overlooking rooves!
No air con so it was stifling hot and could not sleep.
Reasonably clean, but would never stay again
Breakfast was okay if you like congealed eggs and cold bacon plus mushy baked beans.
It was clean and comfortable
The spa session wasn’t part of the payment makes me wonder why the price was that high
size of room was great, bar, food and staff all good. The hotel main areas for clean and tidy, parking good and overal things were fine,.
The cleanliness of the room wasnt great. The bathroom was old and tired and in need of modernising.
Hot, no AC, needs major update
The people who work at the hotel at reception were extremely rude, promised us a refund and then once leaving the hotel denied they had done so. Even at check-in, they were rude and unhelpful with sour faces. Maybe they need raises.
Lovely pool and appreciated vegan options on menu
Easy access no fuss bit pricey food
Cost of food
A la carte menu was abysmal as was the steak. For a 4 star hotel this is not good enough. Our meal was booked for 6 pm and no food till 7.30pm.
Lovely staff, food was brilliant, room was lovely and clean. Spa was lovely and relaxed.
Natural surroundings
Staff was not very warm or friendly.
Breakfast was not properly managed. Food got over during rush hour leading to queues.
Friendly check in
Nice bed
Good amenities, iron etc
Nice to have a bath
Shower was lovely
Lovely interior design
Breakfast mediocre given cost
clean close to motorway
paying for the parking
Friendly and helpful staff, good value for money and a convenient location.
The rooms were comfortable. The location suited us, as our friends live nearby.
The overall cleanliness in the public areas was very poor. The lounge areas were never properly cleared of glasses or the tables cleaned. The gym area is too small, needs upgrading and cleaning. No towels provided nor wipes to clean the equipment. The service at the bar and restaurant was appalling! It was too much trouble to slice a lemon to put in a gin and tonic! £5 per 24 hrs parking fee was ridiculous in such a large car park. We arrived early and were told if we wanted to check in, we had to pay an additional £20. This indicated to us that the room was ready. This hotel caters for groups who arrive on coaches. They stay for an evening meal and leave next day. These groups are given priority over longer term guests. The bedrooms are badly in need of air conditioning.
Food was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom was a decent size. Had a car park and a lift which are always a must for us.
It seems to us that their staffing levels were not great. Whilst we were there, they had a wedding going on, but there was only one member of staff in the bar trying to do everything.
In addition, although the hotel was busy, breakfast time was chaotic with food not replaced quickly and queues forming.
One room did not have a lot of plug sockets and what they did have was not convenient.
