Séjour très agréable
Pros:

Hotel en pleno hutong con buen ambiente, muchos locales para comer y con la torre blanca justo al lado (que recomendamos visitar). A 10 min caminando del metro. Habitación limpia y cómoda. Muy espaciosa. Personal encantador y amable. Sin duda recomendamos este lugar.

L'albergo è accogliente e raccolto e ricrea l'atmosfera degli hutong con tante stanze attorno a un cortile. Ha una bellissima terrazza.

Cons:

Purtroppo ci sono stati una serie di disguidi che hanno reso l'esperienza disagevole e il personale, per quanto si sia prodigato per cercare di riparare alle mancanze, si è rivelato molto poco professionale. All'arrivo a mezzanotte passata (avevo fatto richiesta di check in tardivo, che era stata accettata dallo stesso hotel nel pomeriggio) ci apre il receptionist e ci comunica, scusandosi, che non ci hanno potuto preparare la stanza, e che quindi ci porteranno in motorino ad un altro hotel nelle vicinanze. Caricano noi e i bagagli su due motorini elettrici e ci portano in un altra struttura, un grosso albergo anonimo dove ci danno una stanza piccolissima e dal forte odore di fumo. L'indomani ci promettono di farci un upgrade con una camera più bella nel loro hotel e ci dicono che sarebbe stata disponibile a qualsiasi ora. Rientriamo alle 14 dopo una mattinata sotto il sole di agosto e a quel punto ci dicono che la stanza non era pronta e ci sarebbe voluta un altra ora perché i clienti precendenti avevano fatto un late check out imprevisto. Frustrati decidiamo di rinunciate all'upgrade di stanza e di alloggiare nella camera prevista che era già pronta così da poterci riposare e docciare senza ulteriori attese. L'indomani mattina usciamo alle 09,30 per trascorrere un paio di ore in città e quando torniamo alle 11,30 (check out previsto entro le 12) non ci è possibile rientrare in camera per rinfrescarci prima del lungo volo perché l'hanno già pulita, così ci fanno usare i servizi di un altra camera che ancora non avevano pulito, dobbiamo chiedere almeno un asciugamano pulito perché secondo loro avremmo forse dovuto usare gli asciugamani di altri clienti che si capiva che avevano appena lasciato la camera. Veramente inaccettabile.

Rare gem in Xicheng! Highly recommend!
Pros:

Templeside Beijing is a quiet gem nestled in the hustle and bustle of the megatropolis that is the capital of China, Beijing. Its location is conveniently located in the West of the city, within the 2nd Ring Road, next to Baitasi which is great for first time visitors and veteran visitors alike who wants to see and explore all the famous sights such as Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Beihai Park without traveling too far.

Its location is close to many new and hip cafés and brunch places. Templeside Beijing not only does it offer a glimpse into Hutong life of Beijing.

The rooms themselves are quiet, clean and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and knows a lot about tea. Be sure to sit down and let her recommend you some tea and enjoy the second floor patio!

The staff also take great care in our comfort during our stay. I'd highly recommend this place!

Cons:

Nothing that I can recall, other than when you check in make sure you receive the code to the front door and keep it safe since that's how you'll get in after 12am if you stay out late!

A kind welcome at this sweet hutong guesthouse with a lovely roof terrace
Pros:

Adorably helpful staff at this charmingly converted hutong guesthouse. The rooms aren't large but really work the space, cleverly and stylishly designed. The location is one of my favourite hutong areas, half hip cafes, half traditional tiny shops and businesses. There's a gorgous roof terrace with views over the Lama Temple stupa, and kind staff did my laundry and hung it up here to dry for no extra charge. They also offered to order in any food I liked and provided nearby recommendations. So welcoming.

Cons:

The 'continental breakfast' is essentially just bread (but the coffee is top-notch!!)

Great place to stay to get the feel of real Beijing hutong and to enjoy wonderful Chinese hospitality
Pros:

Such a cute place, in a really authentic hutong in Xicheng amongst the local community. And the staff could not be more delighted. Charming, helpful and kind, we felt really well looked after.
