Disappointing, thought this was a prestige hotel but far from it

I have passed this hotel numerous times and decided to use it on this trip. I was very disappointed. A rigmarole to find the entrance, Supposed to be a prestigious hotel but how can that be the case when the restaurant offers so little choice. One understands the smaller menu choice in Iceland but this took that the absolute limit. 1 starter (Chefs Choice) 2 Main courses (Chefs fish or chefs meat), one dessert, yes you got it 'Chefs choice'. In fairness what was served was good but do not stop there if you are a vegan. Apparently open for breakfast from 0700 or make that 0710 Bifrost time

Camere semplici ma molto grandi comode pulite. Letto matrimoniale enorme comodissimo. Personale gentilissimo e cordiale. ottimo il ristorante.

Cons:

Non hanno servizi dí lavanderia. Il posto in sé (Bifrost) non offre granché però è molto comodo se si è di passaggio sulla Ring Road

Great location to select after completing Snæfellsnes peninsula and doing the ring road in a clockwise direction. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was very good and well presented. Grabok crater is located a few minutes north of this lodging.

Cons:

Finding the actual entrance was a little tricky.
