Pros:

We enjoyed our stay but I think if you can put clean fresh linen and mosquito net with fresh clean towels and tea towels
Pros:

The beach was great. I love the outdoor showers.
The beach huts was close to Tava’e. It’s has a bbq area. The cats were friendly. You can use the kayak and the beach has outdoor furniture.

Cons:

You need to give the bedding linen, the mosquito net, towels and tea towels a good proper wash in the washing machine. And spray the place and smoke out the mosquitoes because there were too many. And the toilets needed an air freshener and toilet duck to keep it smelling fresh. Plus hand wash for the wash basin to wash your hands after using the toilet. Two of the huts outdoor showers were exposed though. If the people in the upstairs hut can see you when they look out their kitchen window they can see you in the downstairs shower. If they come down the stairs during the day they can see you having a shower in the end hut. Something to think about. The beach area you need to clean up the rubbish so that the place looks clean.

Magical! We will miss staying at Matriki
Pros:

Great host, great spot. Mateus took us out on the lagoon and it was absolutely beautiful. He took us to beautiful islands and amazing snorkeling spots.

Cons:

The property is right on the beach and has a lovely chilled atmosphere.

Was a highlight of our trip!
Pros:

OK, this may not be for everyone, but we just loved the fresh ocean air wafting through the room, the sound of the waves on the reef, the chickens (even the roosters!), the cats (on the bed!), listening to the rain on the roof, the outdoors shower and the location was totally spectacular! Great value for money, Mateus was a really helpful guy. If you want to stay in a five star resort, ok, this may not be for you...if you want something closer to a a real Cook Islands experience.... book now!

It is a great location, friendly host.
Pros:

The access to the beach and the host was very attentive which was great.

Cons:

Because we had the upstairs lodge, having to walk down steep steps to the shared bathroom was not something I was expecting. Also, any movements in the lodge downstairs had an impact on the upstairs lodge - the noise and also the floor & bed moves/shakes. And each time the downstairs occupants took a shower which was several times during the day, night and sometimes early morning (1.30 and 3am!) - you could hear the shower running. Didn't realize we had to share the toilets - but for the costs - I suppose that was to be expected. Having said all this - I would still stay there again, I would just choose one of the separate villas.

Sehr schöne kleine Strandhütte, mit allem was man braucht (Küche, Ventilator, Aussendusche usw.). Super Lage und sehr schöne Anlage.

You will feel like a castaway in paradise.
Pros:

Amazing location under the palms in castaway style huts. Snorkelling and beach life is exceptional. Nearby restaurants are also excellent.
The lagoon cruise was the highlight of our visit to the Cook Islands, seeing whales an amazing bonus.

Cons:

The bikes are an excellent idea, but maintenance is proving to be difficult.

Robinson Crusoe Feeling, sehr Basic
Pros:

Wer das ursprüngliche Robinson Crusoe Feeling erleben möchte ist hier genau richtig. Der Strand und die Lage ist super schön. Super Schnorchel Spot. Gut um Sonnenuntergänge zu schauen. Matthias war sehr hilfsbereit und hat mich vom Flughafen abgeholt und auch wieder hingebracht. Die Lagunentour mit ihm kann ich auch empfehlen.

Cons:

Die Hütten sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Toilette und Dusche ist außerhalb der Hütte… Toilette ca 20 Meter entfernt. Auch die Liegen am Strand müssten mal erneuert werden. Für 2-3 Nächte ist es ok.

Pros:

Best snorkelling on the island right outside our cabin! We loved the “castaway” vibes and our host gave us the best lagoon tour ever! We really enjoyed having beach bonfires at the fire pit and great spot to watch the sunset. Highly recommend staying here!

Fantástico pero un poco decepcionante.
Pros:

La ubicación es perfecta, la mejor zona de la mejor playa con arrecife de la isla.
El propietario, Mathias, es todo un personaje. Una persona muy especial, algo callado pero muy atento a todas tus necesidades.
Un guia excelente para hacer el tour de snorkel por la laguna. Mucho más largo y completo que el resto de tours de la isla. La comida del turno mata y el barco tampoco es un primera clase pero el resto del tour compensa sobradamente. Escogimos estás cabañas por las críticas positivas del tour, y no nos equivocamos.

Cons:

La primera impresión fue negativa, la cabaña aunque muy bien situada era muy cutre y las instalaciones y limpieza deficientes.
Si modernizara un poco las cabañas y estuviera todo un poco más limpio y cómodo (no hay ningún armario o mueble para poner las pertenencias), podría permitirse cobrar mucho más por las cabañas.
Si volviera a la isla volvería a hospedarme allí aún sabiendo las limitaciones.

Inselfeeling pur!!!!
Pros:

Das Matriki ist kein 5 Sterne Resort, aber es bekommt von uns die volle Punktzahl. Wenn man auf direkte Strandlage + saubere, einfache kleine Strandhütten (inkl. Kühlschrank und Kochmöglichkeit) + familiäre Atmosphäre + netten Host und abendliche Lagerfeuer am Strand steht, dann ist man hier genau richtig.
Pures Inselfeeling ohne viel Schnickschnack.
Scooter + Ausflüge direkt an der Unterkunft buchbar. Für uns war alles top!
Vielen Dank Matthias für diese tolle Zeit!!!!

Cons:

Moskitos - auf jeden Fall ein Spray für den Aussenbereich mitbringen. Das Bett hat ein Netz

Hut on the beach, riding bikes around the island, snorkelling with Whales and Eagle Rays.
Pros:

Owner picked us up from the airport. Hut steps onto the beach, complimentary bicycles and snorkels. Owner also offers days out on his boat island hopping and snorkelling. Got to swim with Humpback Whales and Spotted Eagle Rays (just to name a couple!). You can get happy hour drinks and dinner at the resorts a few steps down the beach. We got to do everything we wanted in our short stay on Aitutaki. Fantastic stay!

Wonderful owner, while tour is a must, must cheer than others, units are rustic, but very clean…best value on the island..WiFi is excellent, unlike hotels that cost you double…..tytyty
