Pros:

Wonderful, quiet, comfortable place. Very nice breakfast. Our host Daniel lives directly below, has wonderful English and took us out for a great boat ride one afternoon. Two minutes walk from the "rock" and easy access to tuk tuks taking us to the waterfront malecon and Centro. Hot tub, great views and exercise equipment. Good shower. Also provided us with ride to airport following day. Highly recommend!

Cons:

We were a bit confused about directions. Slight walk up road, then down a dirt path to a locked metal gate. We called Daniel who came up from house and let us in. Look for Bania Travels sign which was slightly different than name on our booking.otherwise a fabulous stay!

Pros:

La ubicacion, la cabaña hermosa , instalaciones camas, baños, almohadas, todo excelente.
Daniel su anfitrión siempre dispuesto a ayudar.
Al ladro de la piedra, cerca a gasolinera restaurantes, tiendas una vista maravillosa a la represa.

Pros:

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Sehr gute Lage neben dem Piedra. An Ausstattung alles vorhanden. Modern, eher klein und familiär.

Amazing location right on the lake with stunning views from the deck. Jacuzzi at night, watching the stars at night.
Room was good and comfortable.
Owner was very helpful.

Beautiful gardens.

Only a short motor taxi ride into Guatape.

Cons:

One night we had music from a tour boat until about 9pm, but so did the whole valley!

Other nights were quite and peaceful.

Un hermoso lugar para descansar y conectar con uno mismo y con la naturaleza.
Pros:

Me gustó todo! estoy súper feliz de haber elegido Bania el día que decidí conocer Guatape. En el mapa se ve más complicado llegar pero en realidad es súper fácil. Me encanto la cercanía a la piedra, el fácil acceso a transporte. El lugar es bellísimo con muchas plantas. Las instalaciones se ven nuevas y bien cuidadas, el personal súper amable y atento. El desayuno delicioso y con buenas porciones. Un lugar perfecto para descansar.

A really nice stay, close to the rock and Guatape
Pros:

The hotel is on the water with really a really nice view. We saw some interesting birdlife too. The staff are very friendly and the house is clean and comfortable. The shower was great! The location is excellent, just under the rock, and it is really easy to get into Guatape by tuk tuk.

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming hotel near the famous Rock of Guatapé! From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel right at home—super friendly and welcoming, and even had a cute puppy that added to the warmth of the place. The hotel itself offers an amazing view, with a lovely terrace that’s perfect for soaking in the breathtaking surroundings.

The Paisa breakfast was delicious—authentic, hearty, and just what we needed to start the day. The room was peaceful and quiet, ideal for resting after a day of exploring, and the amenities included a Netflix-enabled TV to unwind in the evenings.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Guatapé. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable, and memorable experience close to the Rock.

Pros:

Daniel was very kind and helpful with everything that was needed; The breakfast was good, the rooms were comfortable, it’s not hard to move around and you can see the dam beautifully.

Cons:

Sometimes the wifi fluctuated in my room and there’s a small hill type of entrance if you’re not in car but it’s not so hard to pass walking.

Fantastic
Pros:

Amazing location within walking distance of El Peñón. The rooms were great and the shower was strong and hot. Daniel was super helpful, and answered questions about Guatape and transportation. Daniel also spoke English, which was helpful because my Spanish skills aren't great. Additionally the jacuzzi was awesome. I didn't have time to try anything but they also offer jet skis, wakeboarding and other activities. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting El Peñón or Guatape.
