The place was swarming with cops…accident and drug bust in front and around. Needless to say we did
Not sleep
Breakfast was not included in the cost, but was good, convenient and had a nice atmosphere.
Had to navigate past tipsy patrons to get the room key and there were drunk people leaning on my car and using it as a spot for their drinks when we needed to leave for supper. I could smell the smoke from the hallway in the room at night.
everything was excellent
I like that this location is attached to a sports bar that in addition to drinks also has a rather nice menu. I don't play them, but I did notice that they had between 25 and 40 video slots... or at least I believe that's what they're called. They also had two pool tables. Another thing that I liked actually surprised me, and was very unexpected. Check in took about 10 seconds. It was so fast that I was standing there with a silly look on my face and they tossed me the keys, because I was expecting lots of paper to fill out. The room was very clean, and I was able to park where those side one of the two doors to my room. I say one of the two rooms, because the other door opened directly to the hallway that led to the sports bar. That's right, if a person was so inclined, they be able to enjoy an evening in the sports bar and then safely walk the few steps back to the room. The bathroom and shower were also adequately sized, and the air conditioning worked well. The next morning the bar was closed so I turned my room key into one of the serving staff at the restaurant that is open before the sports bar is self opens. Just be clear, there isn't a front desk for check-in. Do check in at the bar itself. This may be my own perspective, but I felt this though for the size of the breakfast I had it was extremely inexpensive.
There was nothing that I didn't like about this location.
Nice comfortable bed and quiet night.
Cheep
The room was modern looking, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff helped us with a parking issue promptly. We very much enjoyed our stay!
Bathroom had some very minor issues, tiny bit of paint peeling on the ceiling and the shower head was a bit loose, but it did not impact anything at all.
Room 4 was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We would be happy to stay there again.
A breakfast in the morning.
Once inside the hotel room, it seemed updated, painted, bathroom flooring, nice bedding, etc. The pillows and bed were fantastic. Little eating table and a few chairs were nice. A nicely new microwave and mini fridge was also nice. Felt pretty clean and cozy. The bartender was kind and informative. Way better to be in St Norbert than smack dab in the middle of Wpg somewhere.
Did not do a deep dive into realizing it was a bar and had to go into the bar to get the key. Having a baby in the car, I was lucky to have a passenger to run in and search for the "front desk". Didn't love not having a deadbolt lock, or the company outside asking for money. Since the room seemed updated, carpet should be totally gone, the bathroom floor would feel cleaner everywhere. The inside of the room was definitely better than the outside. Didn't get to check out the cafe though.
