Unfortunately the room smelled so smoky, my daughter and I had a hard time sleeping through the night.

Except for the noise, it was a great value for the money.
Pros:

Rooms were basic, but clean. Restaurant next door had great coffee and breakfast, reasonably priced. The bar was also a good place for beer and pizza.

Cons:

Noise!!! Local teenagers decided to party right in front of our room and made a ruckus until the early morning hours. And the people in the room next door started at 6:00 am very loud - the walls are paper thin. Not much sleep to be had.

Suited our purposes and our budget just fine. Don't be put off by the building.
Pros:

The experience met my 4k rule: quiet, comfortable, convenient (for our travelling purposes) and clean. The owner was obliging.

Cons:

The appearance of the building was pretty unattractive; and there seemed to be some folks who were a tad under the weather in front of the bar, but didn't cause any problems as such.

The staff , manager, owner were exceptional

Shopping just a lil down the road

Entertainment on site, restaurant, bar, VLT lounge, pool tables, patio, vendor, jazz Saturdays.

Cons:

The only thing i would suggest is maybe updating the rooms just a bit. I’ve been given the same room twice and both times the ceiling fan in the washroom doesn’t work, so when you shower it gets very humid and you can smell the moisture. Other than that, I have truly enjoyed my stay each time.

Cons:

Sink and bathtub very slow to drain, no full length mirror in room, hallways smelled of smoke, the carpet in room very dated. Would love to see plank flooring would vastly improve the room

Inexperienced staff
Pros:

Very comfortable for the price. Quiet. No rowdiness. The owner was very accommodating and trying to make sure I was comfortable

Cons:

The owner has a policy for hotel guests to show hotel room key to receive free coffee in the cafe. The 3 girls working told me they don't know about the rule and they would get in trouble if they didn't charge me.

My last full day, I couldn't find a housekeeper and was looking for a roll of toilet paper for my room. And when I asked the lounge staff, they didn't have any available. So for my last full day, anytime I needed to use the toilet, I'd go to the public bathroom meant for the bar customers.

And my last meal I ordered for take out was Chicken Strip and fries. I was given a very small portion of 2 small fingers and a small portion of fries.

Everything else was great and I would go back to the hotel, with the hope the owner may address these issues with his staff

Pleasant stay and would stay again
Pros:

Coffee at the cafe was good as was the service at the cafe. Also location to the farmer's market was a bonus
