The hotel is right near the central train station! The brick and stone streets can be rough with a roller suitcase, but are absolutely navigable given the short distance to this accommodation.
Check in was super easy, and my room was ready hours in advance of when they said it would be. The room was clean, the air conditioning was spectacular, and everything was so flawless I didn’t even have an occasion to talk to the staff (but they were super nice over text)!
We enjoyed the noise outside, but if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs because you’ll be in the middle of the action right up until morning.
The only thing we didn’t adore about the property was the stairs. Like all Amsterdam homes and hotels I have been in, the stairs are narrow and steep. It can be treacherous with a big heavy suitcase, but my group was ultimately able to manage it because we are strong and patient.
Location is walking distance from central station . Staff carried my heavy bag up to my room. Air conditioning and small refrigerator.
very steep steps up to my third floor room, no elevator.
Toilet paper was good.
The location is excellent if you’re looking for bars, clubs, and easy access to the town centre. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
We paid £407 for a two-night stay, and the room was shocking. The beds were uncomfortable and appeared to be nothing more than old foam topper mattresses (see photos). There was a large hole in the wall where it looked like someone had punched it, a wall light was hanging off with exposed wiring, and the ceiling lights barely worked.
The bathroom looked like something out of the Saw films. The TV had no remote, so it was unusable. There were no wardrobes or chest of drawers, making it difficult to unpack or store clothes.
If your plan is to get completely drunk or high and you don’t care where you sleep or about basic cleanliness, then this hotel might suit you. Otherwise, I would avoid it.
The photos on the hotel’s website and Booking.com are not an accurate representation of what you actually get. We looked for alternative accommodation, but because it was such short notice, everywhere else was charging between £400 and £600, so we had little choice but to stay.
The position is great and staff at the bar downstair was friendly
The room was in poor condition, with very dirty walls and furniture. The bathroom was extremely small. Noise was a major issue throughout the night, including a constantly dripping sink, continuously running external air-conditioning units, slamming doors, and loud conversations. Most disruptive of all was a persistent buzzing noise coming from the corridor, occurring every two minutes and lasting around 15 seconds, making it impossible to get a proper night's sleep.
Ci e’ piaciuto il pub sotto casa. Buona birra, bello il barista pazzo. La camera con pochi fronzoli e aria condizionata. Scale tremende. Qualche rave
Location was central but don't let that fool you into booking this place. Absolutely nothing else good to write.
Absolutely everything! Booked for a relative based on pictures from the site. The room was filthy, black mould growing up the walls, room was miniature compared to the pictures on booking site. The Air-Con didn't work & it was 30 degrees whilst my nephew was there. The TV didnt work, the Wi-Fi didn't work & the security was horrendous as door didnt lock properly and a stranger was able to unlock my nephews door & walk in during the middle of the night. Staff in reception were unhelpful when he brought ALL of these issues to their attention & did nothing to fix any of them.
Great location
No one there
