A Hallstatt Gem: Spotless & Central
Pros:

Boasting a perfect location with stunning views, this hotel is just a two-minute walk from the Hallstatt ferry port. Our room was well-equipped with essential amenities and excellent central heating. We were particularly impressed by the seamless contactless check-in and the outstanding cleanliness. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Cons:

The first night was a bit too warm to sleep in, and we had to leave the window open for ventilation. However, the host was very responsive and quickly resolved the heating issue for the rest of our stay.

No heat. No hot water. No staff at front desk. Amazing location, but not worth it.
Pros:

The location is amazing, which is most likely why they get away with having no hot water or no staff at check-in for bag drop. It is in the very center of town, which during winter is very picturesque. At your doorstep are bars, shops, restaurants, etc. It's very ideal for exploring Hallstatt.

Cons:

There was no hot water during our stay, nor any apology for that—in January. There also was very little heating, if any. We saw the staff putting space heaters into rooms, so I imagine we got lucky and had heat due to our 2 year old. There was also no mention that the main bar was closed at any point of communication. When we arrived it was used for storage, as well as bag drop-off for all guests, without anyone watching it. Overall, we never saw any staff downstairs to even take a complaint or offer some sort of compensation for the hardships of staying there.
