Important information:

Please note that in winter the property can only be reached with the Ski Optimal Hochzillertal Cable Car. Elevator passes can be purchased at the valley elevator station. Please inform the ticket sales staff about your arrival beforehand. Guests are then transported from the Mountain Station to the hotel via a snowmobile by hotel-staff.

Cable car ascents are free of charge from 15.00 to 16.00. The cable car stops operating at 16:00. Arrival at Berggasthof Platzlalm is not possible after this.

If guests arrive in the valley before 09:00, hotel-staff can pick them up from there with the snowmobile. Snowmobile use is not permitted between 09:00 and 16:00.

Cable car descents are free of charge before 10:00. For a descent after 10:00 ski passes must be valid on the day of departure too.

Guests can drive to and park at the hotel from June until the end of September.

Pros:

Die Lage ist einmalig. Es ist sehr gemütlich und das Personal stets höflich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Direkt auf der Skipiste zu sein ist herrlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Betten bequem. Wir haben gut geschlafen. Ein fantastischer Blick auf eine herrliche Bergkulisse.

Cons:

Es ist preislich eher gehoben.

Stunning hotel with amazing views, second to none service and exceptional quality interior.
Pros:

This was hands down the most amazing place we've stayed at during our trips around Europe. We were expecting a pleasant Austrian lodge, got a boutique luxury hotel instead. The service was way better than what we were comfortable with as we really didn't expect half of it. Prosecco for breakfast, scrambled eggs decorated with flowers, brilliant schnitzel for dinner, spotlessly clean rooms, stunning wooden floors and finishes, candles on the balcony with a lighter and blankets ready to enjoy the views, superbly comfortable beds and a big modern smart TV for that rainy evening. There weren't many guests when we came and it seems the owner put us up in the best room despite it being larger than our booking. The view was stunning. We'll be back.

Cons:

Not property related but beware that the hotel sits atop a toll road which was 10EUR for an up and down trip. The road is also very tight but locals drive considerately.

Entspannende Tage auf 1.750m in familiärer Atmosphäre
Pros:

Was man besonders hervorheben muss, ist die Freundlichkeit, mit der man versorgt wurde. Von den äußerst netten Wirtsleuten Martin und Eva zu den extrem aufmerksamen und freundlichen Servicekräften, man fühlte sich jederzeit in diesem familiären Umfeld gut aufgehoben und Wünsche wurden prompt erfüllt. Das sehr gute Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche übrig und war ein großartiger Start in den (Wander)Tag. Unbedingt Martin's Rühreier probieren!
Da wir im August trotzdem bei Regen 3 Grad an der Kristallhütte auf 2.200m hatten, waren wir am Ende der Rundwanderung froh die hauseigene Sauna der Platzlalm genießen zu können.
Obwohl das Wetter nur mäßig war, verbrachten wir entspannende und wunderschöne Tage auf der Platzlalm und würden auch gerne wieder kommen.

Cons:

Es gibt nichts, was wir auszusetzen hätten!

Pros:

The location is the best we've ever stayed at. Out at sunrise, with the mountain to ourselves and then board back to the hotel for a great breakfast around 9.30. Amazing

Very cozy mountain lodge
Pros:

Personal was super nice , you feel like home . It was summer and not busy at all and they still do everything for you , we arrived later and kitchen was waiting for us to make sure we get a dinner .
