Very good location, nice and quiet room, and very friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

Great place in Chania – perfect location, very clean, decorated with good taste, quiet, and comfortable. The blackout curtains were excellent, the balcony was a big plus, and the owners were very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this apartment if you want to stay close to the very center of Chania.

Cons:

I feel a bit sorry to write this, as I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I would like to share a few suggestions for the owners.

There was very little storage space for clothes (the lack of a proper wardrobe was a bit of a downside for me). The shower also caused some concern, as water splashed everywhere because the shower screen was a little too short.

The main issue for me was the refrigerator. It stopped working whenever we left the room, which was problematic because I needed to store my medicine at a safe temperature. To be fair, the owners tried very hard to help and were honest about the situation, but without my own extension cord, the fridge would not have worked at all.

The owners were really kind and did their best to solve the problem, but unfortunately it was still a very stressful experience for me.

Très bien !
Pros:

La chambre était grande et propre, pareil pour la salle de bain. L’emplacement était parfait, juste à côté de la station de bus et pas très loins du port tout peut se faire à pied. Le lit était très confortable, clim fonctionnelle qui rafraîchit bien. A l’accueil on nous a bien aidé pour organiser nos excusions.

Un court séjour agréable! La chambre est était superbe! Bon rapport qualité prix et la localisation très pratique!

Εμείς μείναμε 1 βράδυ .

Centrally located hotel in Chania
Pros:

TheJoy has two buildings (on adjacent streets), one with the reception desk and the other without. We stayed in the building without reception and were sent an entry code before check-in. The hotel is in a great central location—right outside the Chania old town, within a 10-minute walk to the harbor and main KTEL bus station, and in a safe, quiet, and clean neighborhood.

Cons:

Our room and bathroom were a good size and the bed was comfortable, but the room and furnishings seemed a bit older than they appeared in the photos online. The walls in the shower stall had some built-up grime/mold. The glass in the shower stall only covered it halfway, so we had to keep a towel outside the shower to soak up water that splashed out. The sink also drained really slowly.

We realized on the last night that the windows couldn’t stay closed properly (we originally thought housekeeping was opening them every day while we were out). The wind would push open the windows and let humidity and cold air in.
