Very neat little spot to lay your head.
Pros:

This inn is centrally located to most activities in northern Door County. The check in/out process was smooth; I received timely text messages from them with all the details I needed. The room was clean. The 50s decor is great! There is a water machine, and coffee is available in the AM.

Cons:

The bed was very uncomfortable "for me". It may be perfect for anyone else.
The room was too dim for me, even with all the lights on. It would be just fine if you enjoy a soft lit space and dont want to read while sitting on the bed. There were some areas that need light, such as the area near the mini fridge and wall mirror.

Beautiful location with a lovely view across the street. Rooms are clean, but very simple.
Pros:

Loved the modernized retro decor choices. The view to the water across the street was lovely! (Note: Only odd numbered rooms will have the view and current construction may eventually block it.)

We were surprised that there wasn't a hair dryer, microwave, or coffee maker in the room.

Ellison Inn is a lovely spot, it’s quiet and offers respite from the hustle and bustle of Sister Bay, yet it only a shor

It was very thoughtfully updated, honoring the charm of the past with modern amenities. The owners were lovely. There was delicious coffee in the lobby to start the day with a beautiful view of the lake. The Lounge will be opening soon for food and cocktails which is exciting.

Pleasant surprise!!
Pros:

Convenient location, beautiful updated clean room with an amazing huge bathroom. I expected a rundown motel with the characteristic bad carpet odor, but we found an updated modern room that compares to hotels of 5 stars.

For a weekend stay, our accommodation was very pleasant and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Cleanliness! Ground floor; one floor. Faced lovely backyard with its patio.
