Good location and a good sports bar.
I was in room 102. It shouldn’t be a room. It is at the entrance, next to the gym, lifts, everyone walks past, zero privacy from the window, noisy, and at 5.30am you will be woken up by someone chucking weights around in the gym above your head. Awful.
Staff were very friendly
Exceptional from start to finish. Amazing staff on arrival. Wonderful housekeeping staff. The bar staff looked after us so well for our evening meal and breakfast. The leisure centre staff went above and beyond to make it special for my grandson swimming and gave him a certificate. Starbucks staff were also wonderful. In a class of its own. The perfect hotel!! Xx
Nothing. Perfection.
We arrived in evening and we were greeted by a lovely lady on the desk, we were checked in with no issues. We were advised about the facilities available and all the information for the next day. We were asked if we had eaten and advised where to get food as the onsite restaurant had closed for the evening.
The bed was comfy.
A few issues but I would know what to expect if I chose to stay here again. If the staff were not so lovely then I would probably look for an alternative place to stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good choice at breakfast. Check out was quick and easy and again a greeted by a lovely member of staff.
Unfortunately our room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bedside table had sticky marks from drinks from previous guests. And the dust behind the sofa bed was really noticeable. A quick wipe over on both would have taken seconds and did make me wonder what else could have been missed. I was woken quite early by the guests above us running around. Then not long after the noise from the corridor as the room wasn’t sound proof at all unfortunately.
The bar was like a sports bar, very loud. In the morning the fitness facilities were in full swing with really loud music. If you were hungover that would have not been great.
If you are after a quiet, relaxing hotel then this one’s not for you.
It’s felt like more of a party hotel. At breakfast the tomatoes were drenched in pepper and as I found out so were the mushrooms. Not sure why the need for this, not everyone can tolerate pepper so would be best left to add your self and if needed. I love mushrooms but unfortunately I couldn’t eat anymore. It was really difficult to get to and from the tables as they were so close together. As you were on the bar area , it was also noisy from the glasses being restocked. Staff were rushed off their feet and I nearly got bumped in to a couple of times. An option of a quieter area would have been lovely .
We’ve stayed in Warrington many years ago and it was exceptional that’s why I chose a Village hotel to take my son. This fell quite short. The standards are not the same anymore. It a sign of the times of what hotels need to do to survive.
Facilities open to the general public where it used to be guests only.
Room and en suite very clean and well equipped. Very comfortable bed leading to a good night's sleep. Very quiet bedroom area.
Car park charge at £5 per day on top of hotel cost.
Breakfast was good , plenty of choice and staff were friendly on reception and in the dining area / bar .
Rooms are a bit tired , the bathroom door on the bottom had succumbed to damp and has started to rot.The bed was to soft ( but that's a personal preference).
Lovely hotel excellent breakfast the receptionist couldn't do enough for us and she had only been in the job three Weeks
