Should not be called a hotel, at best a rooming house!
Pros:

room and bes were a good size and also the bathroom. Clean towels. excellent location, walking distance of the cathedral and castle.aR

Cons:

No bar or restaurant. Only tea and coffee making facilities in the room. no shower practical as no shower curtain. Claw foot tub in the middle of the room. only warm water. only a duvet cover on the bed. no top sheet or blanket.

Convenient bed for the night, no more.
Pros:

It was convenient distance from our event

Cons:

No staff on hand.
We’d come from distance and travelled by train. The reason for this being the hotel had emailed us to say the high street would be closed from 10am - 4pm. This was in fact mis information, when we arrived at 12:30 the high street was still open and had cars using it all day and evening!
It was also disappointing that ‘in this day and age’ the hotel cannot provide a safe space to leave luggage until rooms are ready at 2pm.
I realise everyone wants to ‘cover their ass’ these days but presumably they can’t even trust their own staff with the safety of their customers luggage.
Shame on them !!

Somewhere to avoid!
Pros:

Clean sheets. Hot shower.

Cons:

Very faded, dirty and tired appearance. Stained carpets, peeling paint. Minimal effort made towards maintenance. Single glazed windows meant that bathroom was freezing. Woken by crashing of bins being emptied directly below my window at 6.40am. Bed split apart in the night. Difficult to get into through the night gate - I thought I was locked out at one point it was so difficult to open. Deluxe room was anything but! Charged £20 for early check in and asked for in cash.
