Great hotel near where Paul baptized Lydia
Pros:

My family loved the Lydia Hotel. The location is adjacent to the place where the Apostle Paul baptized the first Christian convert in Europe, near the ancient city of Phillipi. You can’t find a better location for a visit to such a historic place. The room was comfy, quite spacious for the three of us. The bathroom was updated, nice, and clean. The AC worked flawlessly so we slept well. They served a good breakfast cooked in the house while we admired a happy swan swimming about. We loved our stay at the Lydia Hotel.

Olağanüstü kahvaltı yazısını görerek rezervasyon yaptık, fakat sabah büyük bir şoka uğradık. Şöyle ki kahvaltı açık büfe değil ve gelen kahvaltı ( 1 adet ısıtılmış ekmek, 1 adet bayat ekmek, 1 adet kızartılmış ekmek ve iki ekmek arasında kâğıt kadar ince peynir) neredeyse sadece ekmeği kahvaltı olarak veriliyorlar diyebilirim.
Odalar kesinlikle temiz değil, sivrisinek kaynıyor hadi bu doğal desem hamam böcekleri de var.
Oda balkonları birbirine yakın olmasına rağmen balkon kapıları tek ittirmede açılıyor burası hırsızlıklara çok müsait.
İki kişi tek oda ve kahvaltı için 82 Euro ödedik, dünya genelinde şimdiye kadar imkan karşılığı olarak konakladığım en pahalı oteldi, inanın kuru ekmek yemek ve pis bir yerde konaklamak için bu kadar para isteyemezsiniz.
Tuvalet kapısı kilitlenmeyecek kadar eski ve bozuk, balkon kapısı da aynı şekilde, her gün duş alırım hijyenik bulmadığım için duş dahi alamadım.

Domnul de la recetie care ne-a intampinat a fost foarte amabil, vorbitor de engleza, ne-a ajutat sa ne comandam ceva de mancare din oras.

Cons:

Camere veci, paturi neconfortabile, mic dejun muuult sub nivel( paine cu paine, un sandwich cu 2 felii de paine si 1 de cascaval, 1 felie de paine, 1 cub de unt si 1 cub de marmelada, 1 pahar de suc si 1 cafea instant transparenta), pentru 97 euro pe noapte parca am stat la un motel de tiristi pe autostrada.

Clean and comfortable.
Pros:

Walking the Via Egnatia, I thought this was a good option for a stay after visiting Ancient Philippi. It's fine, comfortable and clean. There is a place open for lunch and evening meals about a kilometre back in the middle of Lydia. The site mentions meals, but this was not the case during my stay.
