Gibbon Lodge is an amazing gem that deserves more visitors and praise. The location, lodging, and staff are all wonderful. We were especially impressed with the spacious bathroom! For the price, it is a great find and we even extended our stay.
Our only feedback is the lack of cleaning services, and the initial smell of the room is a bit strange.
After three nights of staying here, they never offered to clean the room. After two days, it would be nice for them to do or at least ask. During the first 1-2 days, the room had a musty smell that faded. They may need a different cleaning product or should plug in a lavender or lemon room scent dispenser to improve the smell.

Staff were soooo nice loved the little huts the lady running the place helped us with booking a trek which was really good and helped us book a bus to cross the boarder to Vietnam

The most friendly staff in the planet, was quiet and it felt apart of everything, also very close to the elephant refuge picking up point.
The Gibbon Lodge is not a luxury accommodation. The Gibbon lodge is a quiet place surrounded by nature that gives a better close to nature experience. It will be sad to see it go.
I didn't like the big ugly hotel next door
The staff at Gibbon are lovely! The food is delicious! We had their local food both nights of our stay and highly recommend that. The location is good - 25 mins walk to town, but in a green and jungly part which gives you access to nature on your doorstep. All the facilities in the room were there as promised e.g. towels, sheets, mini fridge, kettle, cups, spoons, some water and some hot drinks.
No WiFi at reception or elsewhere. Rooms have been adjusted to protect against bugs (great!) but the changes make the rooms quite stuffy. It's fine for short stays and the benefits make it worth it, according to us.
Amazing! A perfect place to stay ahead of seeing the elephants at Mondulkiri sanctuary. They organised everything! Air conditioning in the huge lodge with a modern bathroom. Amazing views, you are at one with nature. New bar and restaurant area that was brilliant. Highly recommend!

Good location in nature with lot of space around bungalows. Spacious bedroom and also bathroom.
No cleaning of room and no change of towels every day.
For the price you can absolutely not complain, of course it's not going to be perfect and absolutely stunning inside, but what do you expect for something priced so cheaply? Staff were great, organised our food, tuk tuk, everything, the room was great (again, for the price) and if was the first place we had actual hot water, and beaut view. We stayed here and got picked up for the Mondulkiri elephant project. When we came back from the jungle, we stayed back here again.
