Mixed, some good some bad

Cons:

Unfortunately on a windy night there was constant knocking/banging from outside, we got hardly any sleep on the first night.

The room was lovely and well priced and the food was good too.
Pros:

Room with the bath was very good. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Cons:

The room faced the road which was quite loud early on a week day. There was also a lot of banging early in the morning from the pub underneath.

Perfect pet friendly stay in Brockenhurst
Pros:

We loved our stay at The Huntsman, our room Mallard was clean, cosy and they kindly provided us with a dog bed for our Vizsla. The room was extremely comfortable and the roll top bath was perfect to unwind after a long drive. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and a great variety of teabags. We really appreciated the dog treat gifts it was a really kind gesture. We paid the additional for breakfast and there was a wonderful buffet of fresh pastries, fruit, cereals, fresh bread, variety of spreads and yogurt as well as a cooked breakfast made to order. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting the New Forest with your dog or for a short getaway. If you’re travelling by train Brockenhurst station is less than a 5 minute walk away and if travelling by car there is plenty of parking available. It’s also a great pub to visit the open fires, good vibes and even has a bowling alley for private events.

Cons:

We liked everything, the staff and owners were really friendly. We did wish we got to meet the owners Vizsla Copper but hopefully we can see him next time.

Second stay at hotel, unlikely to return for a third as seems standards are slipping. Very accessible to New Forest, lim
Pros:

Good location although our room was at the front so lots of noise from traffic

Cons:

I emailed the hotel 3 weeks in advance to request help with decorating our room for our daughters birthday, did not get a response. Our room was a little dusty. Need to invest in decent windows, the sash windows let lots of noise and cold in.
