Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt. Eine tolle Quinta .
Pros:

Der Aufenthalt in der Casa Quinta Santa Cruz war wirklich hervorragend. Die Quinta lag erwartungsgemäss auf dem Berg. Die Anfahrt war aber doch einfacher als gedacht. Nur einmal falsch abgebogen, da hatten wir uns fast festgefahren.
Wir haben bei traumhaften Wetter auf dem Balkon morgens ein tolles Frühstück von Salet genossen. Sie bereitete alles ,was dazugehört. Leckeres Obst, selbst gemachter Kuchen etc.
Am Nachmittag ein kühles Bad in dem schönen Pool mit tollem Blick auf die Weinberge.

Wonderful stay!
Pros:

The staff made a lovely fresh breakfast everyday, I especially liked the orange juice! The view was amazing from the hotel, and the pool was lovely too. Very quiet and relaxing place.

Highly recommended and really want to stay again
Pros:

Beautiful house, modern facilities. Amazing views of the Douro Valley and the vineyards from the rooms and balconies. Excellent breakfast.

Cons:

A little bit remote from restaurants and places to eat so take into consideration when planning your stay

Pros:

View, cleanliness, located in winery, excellent breakfast, staff is exceptional. Parking is included inside narrow gate with code. There is room to park just outside gate.

Cons:

Wish place description show it is not a hotel. It’s guesthouse with many bed rooms with own bathroom. It is challenging drive up the windy narrow road to get there; big SUV will be extra challenging to pass narrow street in some places. But rewarded with great view. Vineyard workers bring horse to pool to feed water. So did neighbor cat come to drink the pool - not sure what can be done about cat.

Stunning View
Pros:

The view from the house was STUNNIG and had a beautiful vineyard to stroll through. You could see the river, town and of course hillside vineyard from the rooms and shared deck. Diane was very helpful via booking messages with arranging taxis for us and providing dinner recommendations.

Cons:

One of the couples in our group said their bed was very hard but the other two rooms were comfortable. It's also a bit of a drive on very narrow windy roads to get up to the house, would need your own car or a pre-arranged cab.

Would love to stay there again.
Pros:

Extraordinary location high up on the hill with stunning views down onto the Douro Valley. Swimming pool an added bonus and beautiful, shimmering at night. Extremely helpful housekeeper who put us on to an easier drive to reach the property (M600/M601; use maps to go to the restaurant Varanda da Régua and it’s 5 minutes from there. And that is an excellent restaurant). Housekeeper not great at English but fluent in French (as well as Portuguese, obviously).
Very quiet.

Magnificent view! Stunning architecture! Beautiful small vineyard! Peace!
Pros:

The magnificent view! The sunrise over the Douro Valley! Peaceful! It’s one of the most beautiful places that we stayed in Portugal. Salete was lovely and speaks French, Portuguese and a good amount of English. She made us a fantastic breakfast with homemade jams and cakes. The quinta is architecturally stunning - modern lines but it blends beautifully with the landscape. Vineyards, olive and persimmon trees, flowering vines over arbours, gorgeous pool!! No need for a tv in your room - look outside! This is incredibly beautiful!

Cons:

The drive up is a bit tricky but once done - no trouble to do again. Absolutely worth the view and the Quinta is stunning!

Pros:

We very much enjoyed our stay. Fantastic view of the Duoro and vines growing just outside our bedroom. Delicious breakfast and very nice pool.
It is a 15 minute drive up a very steep hill but we didn't find that a problem.

Cons:

Beds are quite hard.
