Excellent choices, variety to suit all tastes .
Great service , freshly cooked .
My daughter particularly enjoyed the apricot and mango yoghurt which was available the first morning but missed the next two mornings, she did enjoy the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup however.
Nothing at all , the staff were friendly and excellent , could not fault any member, they are all a credit to the hotel,
Hotel situated in a lovely part of Guernsey. Staff pleasant and helpful, gardens lovely.
Room disappointing with balcony overlooking roof, and aircon units, overhead shower did not work until repaired later and generally a bit tired. Hotel video is a bit misleading. We were advised before arrival that there was an event happening on the Saturday evening, which was not a problem, however the marquee erected on the hotel terrace remained in place until the following Friday, it was only then the terrace became available for eating and drinks. A 10% service charge was added to the food menu which is not apparent initially. The hotel is open to non residents for food etc, so Sunday lunch time becomes very busy, as the pool is also available for use.
Having stayed here before I expected the same high standards. The rooms were clean and the public areas. We had dinner in the gardens which were lovely. The food was great as well as the service.
The pool was very murky and quite tepid. I could not see my hand at my side. I developed a throat infection a few days later which I attribute to the water in the pool.
Unfortunately we were unable to get to the hotel for the first night we had booked. I understood it was not refundable however when I enquired if there was a possibility of a bottle of wine or simply a drink to ease our disappointment I was firmly declined. They had been paid over £140 for our no show, and as previous customers I thought it was not unreasonable to ask. Hey Ho!
Creaky bed
Prachtige kamer van alle luxe voorzien. Heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer vriendelijke medewerkers. Goed parkeerterrein. Bleven helaas maar 1 nacht
We had a very nice junior suite and thank you to the staff for the lovely flowers to celebrate our anniversary. Although the location is not on the coast being central, it is handy to get anywhere on the island!
Extremely quiet in the evenings as we were generally the only ones in the bar and so at that point it lacked atmosphere
Location, nice quiet small hotel, great breakfast choices. On a bus route so easy to avoid trying to find long stay parking in St Peter’s Port
n/a everything was just fine
Clean room with comfortable bed and lovely Staff! Very helpful and kind and the Chef made us a lovely curry!! Thank you!
Nothing
Clean and comfortable
No evening entertainment or themed nights as advertised. Pool out of use. Cool food in the evening. Overpriced for our stay, would not recommend.
The room was good and the bed very comfy! Lovrely quality pillows too!
I would have liked more fresh fruit for breakfast rather than just melon on the buffet selection. The only muesli was a teeny packet of Alpen and the plain yogourt was fat free 🙄. The cooked breakfast was fine, perfect fried eggs!
Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and hot. We had 1 evening meal while we were there and it was warm rather than hot, and we were seated in the breakfast area of the restaurant by ourselves rather than in the restaurant area with the other diners! The swimming pool was not open while we were there. There was not a single night of entertainment or any themed night as advertised which is why we chose this venue.
Themed nights, evening entertainment as advertised and hot food in the evening.
Staff were very attentive, comfortable room with lovely decor - good food & attractive gardens.
Some aspects of the room were tired - in the shower & cupboard interior (wood needed attention).
A young man walked across the area outside our window - not sure that should have happened!
Breakfast excellent choice
