Great remote location. Almost nobody around.
I had the time of my life
I love everything , Abdou is a great cook and he can find a solution for any demand
If you want to enjoy and relax, this is the place. Far from the touristic places and resorts, you can just sit below the stars and meditate. The food is amazing as the chef Abdul. If you need anything, he will always help. Hope to come back again ☀️
Basic amenities (which did not bother us) but wonderful environment and setting. The sunrise by the sea was incredible. Abdou was very kind and helpful, and a late check-out was granted to us. Thank you for everything!
The location was beautiful! Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and the additional dinners were delicious. The beds weren’t super comfortable but I also slept so well. Because there is only electricity for a few hours in the evening, the stars were beautiful.
My own fault for not reading the description closely, but no WiFi. Shower pressure was terrible.
Eduardo was a top host that taught me a lot about snorkling and was allways very helpfull on everything.
Breackfast was top class.
Peacefull area, and beach.
Was suposed to be 3 nights, ended staying 7 :)
Ambience, food and people
That we had to leave
The people working there and the location are absolutely fantastic.
The camp is magic and very well located. The food cooked by the staff is very good and abundant, although a bit overpriced to be in Egypt.
The room was good, the bed was very very hard which made it a bit difficult to sleep.
A thing which made me really sad is that the manager of the Deep South recommended me a driver so that other taxi drivers wouldn’t take advantage of me in terms of prices. He still did, and every if two families invited me to join the car that they had already paid for and where there was a space, he forced me to pay 10 euros and if not I wouldn’t be allowed in the car.
I know this is not related to the stay in the camp, but still important to know.
My stay was peaceful and quiet. The location is convenient, as it's close to both the diving spots and the city. The breakfast and dinner prepared by Abdo were excellent (both vegan and non-vegan options available). I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a simple and quiet retreat away from the city's noise.
1. The public bathroom, especially the showers, needs improvement.
2. One thing that wasn't mentioned in the description is that electricity is only available for a limited period each day.
I had a wonderful time at Deep South Eco Lodge. The location is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful — perfect for relaxing. The view of the Red Sea is stunning, and the calm atmosphere made my stay truly enjoyable.
The food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. There’s also a small shop where you can get snacks, water, and other essentials. Snorkeling gear was available, which was great for exploring the nearby reefs. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable.I can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway in nature.
In this place you can find a wonderful private bedouin beach and coral reef 5min walk, beautiful people, amazing sunrises above the sea and amazing sunsets beyond the dunes, quiet, extraordinary meals, nights full of stars, the most sweet dogs.
Bungalows are simple, with a terrace and bathroom with shower; electricity is provided 4 hours every evening after sunset (after all, it's a camp in the desert!); fresh and local breakfast and dinner are served every day in a place with shared tables and repair from the wind.
(Next to the private beach there's a nice beach club where you can have lunch for 10€, and maybe also a fish restaurant - just ask the staff).
We stayed 11 days and, if you have the chance and need to disconnect from the chaos, we suggest to stay as long as you can: from here you can enjoy the safe and peaceful local beach with reef, as well as reaching other beautiful isolated beaches and their reefs or even organize amazing day trips with private taxi drivers, always going back to the most peaceful place and the most shining stars. You won't get bored.
The owner Fady and the staff are always happy to help, suggest, give you contacts, or even share adventures with you.
If you're looking for a posh, elegant place with the sea 30m away, all amenities, aircon, hot shower and cold beer anytime, you should consider to go somewhere else. Otherwise, with an open mind and love for simplicity, you'll be the happiest people ever.
We really hope to be back soon. Thank you for everything Fady, Eduardo, Alberto.

That it's spacious, clean, friendly, and affordable, with fantastic view of the sea and the desert
That it's not very close to the beach as I expected. It's a 10-15min walk. However, once you're at the beach, you can stay all day at the Tondoba. Much recommend
The location, simply amazing, poetic, spiritual location!!
more than expected ✨ Friendly and piecefull place with nice beach close by 🐢 I definitely recommend ordering dinner 😋
