The spa facilities
The mocktails at the palm house- mostly ice, very little drink in it.
I loved the facilities and how attentive and helpful staff were. Room was absolutely perfect and extremely comfortable:)
There isn’t any lifts (that I was aware of) but not a big deal just if someone needed one
The spa access is really great; we loved the available options (pools, sauna, salt room, bar) and that we could spend nearly the entire day of check-in there, even before the room was available. All of the staff are exceptionally kind and accommodating.
We wanted to book treatments but they were already booked up. We weren’t aware of this at time of booking. Room with a terrace and outdoor tub didn’t feel very private, as balconies are right overhead, and also can hear the neighbors rather well.
Everything was perfect couldnt fault it

Food was great
Location easy to travel to
On Tuesday 30th December 2025 we attended our sons wedding at the rabbit hotel. Everything in connection with the wedding went smoothly and according to plan. The reception room was spectacular and the food was great.
A number of guests had taken advantage of a discounted room rate and booked an overnight stay ( still in the region of £200 per room)
My wife and I along with other wedding guests booked the Lake House which had 5 double bedrooms ( just over £200 per room) The house had a lovely setting on the edge of the small lake.
Everything was fine until we returned to our rooms around midnight after the wedding. ( the coldest night of the year ) The rooms in the lake House were freezing. We had our one year old granddaughter sleeping in our room. There were two vents in the floor from which warm air should have blown through. On checking these there was a slight amount of cool air coming from them. The en suite had a large towel radiator on the wall. This was also stone cold.
We foolishly though the heating might come on soon and surely it will come on in the morning. It did not. The whole house was freezing.
I phoned reception on my mobile as the phone in the kitchen was not working. The person I spoke to said he would pass it onto the manager who was due in shortly.
We all got ready and went for breakfast. I called at reception and eventually spoke to the manager. She apologised and stated she would send someone down when we checked out.
I pointed out that that was no good to us. We had paid big money to stay in a freezing room and house, with a number of small children.
I asked for some sort of recompense but none was forthcoming. She did say she would speak to the bride and groom.
It turned out that the majority of wedding guests who stayed in the hotel had the same problem. The rooms were freezing. Not good for such a high profile hotel.
When we returned to the lake house after breakfast at around 11am to collect our belongings, to check out, the heating WAS ON . Again too late for us. It seems to me the timings for the heating were all mixed up.
This should have been checked before guests arrived at the house.
Still everyone had a great day at the wedding, just a pity the freezing rooms put a bit of a downer on things.
The menu caters for all tastes. The service is prompt and super effective. I cant rate the restaurant and spa high enough. Brilliant facilities and great service.
The spa and pool are stunning
