We made a confirmed reservation through Booking.com for one night—check-in on 16th April 2025 and check-out on 17th April 2025. The booking was completed on 15th April 2025, and we received a confirmation from Booking.com. Upon arriving in Nuwara Eliya on 16th April, I contacted the property (Bazel Bungalow) to inquire about our reservation, only to be informed that no such booking existed in their system.
Despite providing the booking details, we were told that there were no available rooms, as the property was fully booked. As a result, we had to make alternative arrangements at another hotel at the last minute. This experience was highly disappointing and showed a lack of accountability in managing confirmed bookings, which caused considerable inconvenience during our trip.
Afterwards, the property cancelled our booking without offering any proper explanation or assistance, further adding to the frustration.
