Il perfetto ristoro per il corpo e per l’anima
Pros:

E’ eccezionale. La stanza grande, pulita, bella e perfettamente arredata. La piscina e la terrazza danno sul mare, con vista sulla chiesa sopra folegandros. Il personale molto cortese e discreto.

Straight out of Mamma Mia movie
Pros:

The view was spectacular. The pool, the room, the staff, the location… everything was a dream. We celebrated my partner’s birthday and the staff helped me organize a little suprise for him in the morning during breakfast. It is a very laid back property and I truly felt like we had disconnected and recharged. Extremely relaxing. We walked in and out of town following a very picturesque path. Honestly I am so happy we stayed here, we will definitely be coming back.

great Location, very clean and comfortable hotel.
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Folegandros and can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Artemis and Katerina made us feel completely at home — they were warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable, always ready to help and make sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness really set the tone for the whole trip.
Every morning we were treated to a lovely homemade breakfast, which was a real highlight and a great way to start the day. The hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance of Chora, so getting into town was effortless, and the views from the property were absolutely stunning.
The rooms were spotless and incredibly comfortable — the beds, the linens, and even the towels were all top quality. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing place to rest after exploring the island.
If you're planning a trip to Folegandros, this is the place to stay. We'll definitely be back, and we recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting this beautiful island. Thank you, Artemis and Katerina, for everything!

A wonderful stay - hope to come back!
Pros:

The property is a beautiful setting and kept immaculate. It’s the perfect distance and a very easy/ beautiful walk to Chora via road or trail. Agali beach is also a quick 10 min drive. Avaton is owned and operated by a mother daughter duo who couldn’t be nicer. We had a great time getting to know them and they were extremely helpful and made our stay extra special!

Dreamy property with superb views over the infinity pool. Can’t wait to return
Pros:

Absolutely superb. Sorry we only stayed for 3 nights. The quality of finish poolside and in the rooms is top class. The staff were so welcoming and attentive and could not be more helpful.

Cons:

It’s a short walk into Chora but this actually is a major plus. There’s very little light pollution at Avaton so the stargazing is incredible. We stayed in 6 properties in our Greek island trip and this was the best by far.

Cons:

The staff were extremely condescending. We asked in advance if we could pay extra for a third rollaway bed as I was travelling with two friends for our 30th. One of these friends lives abroad, and we wanted to spend as much time together as possible. We were told it was impossible. To this day I don't understand why as our room was huge, had a sofa bed as well as a double bed in the terrace and of course the bedroom. Regardless, our friend booked her own room in another hotel in chora. During the day and before going out for dinner we were all in our room together. This is where it gets weird...
The manager seemed to think we were her children and would call us repeatedly upon seeing us go into the room asking us intrusive questions like "what hotel is your friend staying at? we need the name" "we just saw you all go into the room together, your friend is not allowed in the room"
When I am paying over 400 euro a night, I should be allowed to do what I want (within reason) in my room. It's not like we played music or made any noise. We were hardly there.
On one occasion, my friend left her towel from her hotel in our room during the day.
The hotel then must have gone through our things and confiscated the towel because "it wasn't the hotels". Another occasion we came back to our room to find a hand written aggressive note on our pillow saying "please return the hotel robe before the end of your stay" - again this note implied we were trying to steal their hotel rooms when in fact, I had accidentally left it by the pool.
The sheets on the bed were not changed everyday which was disappointing as I swear during the night. They even had the audacity to tell me and my friend who booked the hotel that "we are like ghosts, we never see you"... again, we didn't come to Folegandros to sit by a pool we were out exploring the island. This is a very weird thing to say.
