Beautiful but haunted hotel, some staff need exorcism as well.
Pros:

It’s a beautiful historic building in a great location. Love all the old information on the walls and little art works. It gives it a special vibe. Yet a little haunted. :) activity was spotted by more than 1 person. Upon arrival we were met by a very kind woman who let us store our luggage and called us when the room was ready.

Cons:

Property itself was nice but we got very sick from Noro virus and asked for help from reception. Didn’t get much response here when we politely asked for help with dehydration medication and we almost called an ambulance because we were so poorly. In the end they brought as a sachet of salt upon request. The next day upon check out I had called a taxi and the lady screamed at me on the phone because the taxi had arrived already and my daughter hadn’t arrived yet to the counter(she was slow because of the recent sickness) upon check out just took the room card and said. Ok bye. Nothing else. No how was your stay. Thank you for staying with us. It was a very strange experience especially because we still felt bad and weak. Will never come again.

Historical place with a lot of untapped potential
Pros:

Great geographic location and nice ambient scent throughout the property.

Housekeeping staff were very friendly, efficient, and did a great job every day.

Sea view room with a great window on the sea.

Cons:

Disappointing Breakfast: The overall breakfast quality and selection are far below 5-star standards. For example, no fresh fruit was available, and very poor options were made available after asking the staff. Additionally, there are no food labels on the buffet, which poses a serious risk for allergies and dietary requirements. A la carte menu is quite extensive and food is ok, but selections are very standard with poor dishes presentation. I would have expected some more local options.

Subpar Room Amenities & Hairdryer Issue: In-room hot beverages consisted only of a kettle and Nescafé instant coffee (3-star level). The room was equipped with a cheap, wall-mounted hairdryer typical of a public pool. When requested, a replacement was provided but without a nozzle attachment. Soundproofing was also poor due to connecting doors, and we found a heavily chewed pencil inside the hotel directory book.

Spa & Gym: The gym has only 3 basic machines, with no towels, no water, and no disinfectant wipes for equipment. While the SPA staff is doing a great job, the facilities need serious refurbishing. I had a massage in a tiny, dark room with the A/C vent running, generating a lot of noise.

Beach and pool access: Guests need to pay in order to access the hotel beach club, which is not expected in a luxury hotel. There isn't a beach club area reserved for guests. Furthermore, non-hotel guests are allowed pool access for just €25, destroying the privacy and peace that staying guests pay for.
