Santo Miramare has a lot going for it: a fantastic location, excellent staff, clean rooms and good family-friendly pool
Pros:

Santo Miramare Resort, Santorini – Overall 7/10

We recently stayed at Santo Miramare and had a generally enjoyable holiday, but there were definitely some highs and lows.

Location – 10/10
The location is excellent if you’re looking for a quieter side of Santorini. It’s around 40 minutes from Oia (the famous “Instagram Santorini” with the blue domes and sunset views), but in return you get a much more relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of lovely restaurants within walking distance, it’s only around 20 minutes from the airport, and the beach is right on your doorstep.

Staff – 10/10
The staff were outstanding throughout our stay. They couldn’t do enough for us and were always friendly and attentive. We had a couple of issues during our holiday and every one of them was resolved quickly and professionally.

Rooms – 7/10
If you’re travelling with a pushchair or have mobility concerns, I’d strongly recommend requesting a ground-floor or pool-level room. Many of the rooms require climbing two or three flights of stairs. We asked to move from an upper-level room to a lower-level room and the hotel arranged it the same day. The rooms are clean, serviced daily and perfectly functional, although they don’t have a real wow factor.

Pools – 8/10
There are six pools in total, including three shallower pools that are great for children. It looks like there are plenty of sunbeds, but they get reserved very quickly. Although signs state that unattended towels will be removed after 45 minutes, this wasn’t enforced during our stay. If you want a decent spot, especially one with an umbrella, you’ll need to be out before breakfast. Not ideal, but unfortunately it’s a classic holiday “sunbed race” situation.

Cons:

Food – 3/10
Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment of the holiday. I wouldn’t choose half-board again. The buffet is very small, the variety is limited, and the dining area becomes crowded quickly. Breakfast was acceptable, but dinner was consistently poor. During our stay they also ran out of ice cream and coffee on separate days. There was also some confusion around the pool bar, with different staff giving different information about what was available and when.

Gym – 4/10
The gym is very basic. It’s heavily focused on cardio equipment, feels dated and doesn’t offer much for anyone wanting a proper workout. Dumbbells only go up to 10kg.

An ideal beachfront location, which is quite rare in Santorini, with tavernas, cafés, and bars just a short walk away.
Pros:

Excellent location very polite staff ideal for families clean pools tasty snacks

Fabulous stay, great facilities and a step away from beach.
Pros:

Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Everything was very clean. Breakfast had a good selection.

Pros:

A hotel minden igényt kielégítő, kedves személyzettel, változatos finom ételekkel. Makulátlan tisztaság mindenhol, a szobánkat minden nap takarították, kaptunk tiszta törölközőt, ami puha volt és illatos. A tengerparton igényes napágyak napernyővel, személyzettel, a medencék is szuperek. A környéken igényes bárok, az elhelyezkedés teljesen jó.

Great resort with some minor flaws
Pros:

- Very spacious and clean resort
- Great location directly at the beach
- Lovely outdoor area with several pools
- Food & beverage service at the beach
- Good-sized rooms, a bit bland but ok
- Excellent water pressure in the shower
- Staff were lovely, whether it was room service or breakfast team
- Breakfast buffet had lots of choices

Cons:

- Narrow bed
- Bathroom (no drama, but slightly annoying): no extractor fan, no towel racks, basin tap is mounted so high that water splashes everywhere
- The room has only a glazed entry door and no window, meaning that we could not let fresh air in overnight as we locked the door. An option was to switch on the air-con, but we're not a fan of it.

Sehr entspannte 10 Tage in einem wunderschönen Ambiente
Pros:

Die ganze Anlage ist sehr geschmackvoll und großzügig konzipiert, die Lage ist sehr gut, das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind ein wenig kahl und sehr weiß.
Die Techno-Musik in der Poolbar ist für das großteils ältere Publikum etwas unpassend. Wenn man einen Wein in der Bar bestellt, muss er aus dem Restaurant geholt werden, wenn man ein Bier im Restaurant bestellt, muss es aus der Bar geholt werden - ein bisschen umständlich fürs Personal.

Pros:

Le calme autour de la piscine, un personnel tres souriant et bienveillant. Surtout les dames qui font le ménage.

Cons:

Pas de tele connectée dans les chambres, ce qui n'est pas terrible pour les étrangers lors des moments plus détente avec enfants.
