A beautiful stay in the centre of Lijiang old town with the most helpful and accommodating hosts
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay here as part of our honeymoon adventure around China. Amy and Uncle were the most accommodating, friendly and helpful hosts. Nothing was too much to ask whether it was help booking tickets somewhere, organising a massage and even hosting a tea tasting - they were always happy to help. The breakfast was delicious and really traditional as well but we especially loved the hotel itself. It felt like a calm oasis in the middle of Lijiang Old town and the room was really nicely decorated and really comfortable. They had even left us flowers for our honeymoon! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay - our favourite in China! We hope to one day be back again.

Pros:

Wonderful, family-run boutique hotel in the center of Lijiang on a quiet street along a canal. Meticulously renovated home is now a courtyard hotel. steps from all that the old city has to offer! Friendly and helpful staff!

Heritage building run by fourth generation
Pros:

Calm and attentive family run hotel in a heritage building that felt homely and clean with a wonderful courtyard. We were welcomed with a tea ceremony and fresh fruit. The location was right in the center of the old town, with beautiful views of the tiled rooftops and a babbling brook next to our room.

Pros:

Super friendly staff. We could even choose our room and actually did to one with a better view. Lovely converted old house in a great location near to shops, restaurants and fantastic sights. Great breakfast, coffee excellent. The owners have a tea plantation so we had lovely choices of tea served in a traditional Chinese way.

Cons:

No tea or coffee in the room but freely available downstairs.
No TV....not really needed except for some background noise after a day out

Pros:

The stay felt like home. From the breakfast, to the room, to the view. Everything was so amazing. The staff was extremely welcoming; they gave us a basket filled with fruits upon our arrival as well as tea. They also gave us black tea as a gift.

Cant wait to come back!

Great, peaceful location, very comfortable and awesome breakfasts
Pros:

I spent 4 nights at the Jun Bo Hotel and absolutely loved my stay here. Such a nice peaceful location, the room was beautiful, the bed was super comfortable, the staff were lovely and accomodating and the breakfasts were excellent.

Good old town feel in Lijiang Old Town
Pros:

Beautifully designed with nice courtyard and garden with modern facilities such as automatic toilet flush, warmed seat and bidet. Spacious bedroom with the heated bed which is so comfortable. Delicious breakfast and friendly owner with attentive service. They even offer take away breakfast for two days due to our day tour that starts early in the morning. Free flow of fruits during our stay. Near attractions and many eateries within walking distance of Lijiang Old Town.

Cons:

There is no elevator, hence no convenient for big luggage if staying at upper floor. A bit far from South Gate of Lijiang Old Town (10-min walk) especially when we have to lug our luggage walking on the cobble stone street since our tours pick up point were fixed at the South Gate.

Pros:

Beautiful family owned tea house. Very peaceful and nice escape from the loud noises and lights of the rest of the town. Amy the host was amazing and speaks very good English, very helpful. We were served tea constantly throughout the stay which helped us to relax and enjoy the town.

Pros:

A charming small hotel. Excellent location in the Old town of Lijiang. The owner is a sweet young lady who speaks English very well and is willing to help. Room was spacious, super clean, and with all the most modern amenities. Very comfortable bed, nice western breakfast - we loved our stay at this hotel.
