Pros:

Very comfortable beds and spacious room in a quiet location, with friendly hosts. About a 30 minute walk to the Friday night markets.

Cons:

The facilities describe a shared kitchen, and you share it with the owners and the restaurant. This makes it slightly awkward to walk in and use their mugs and make your own coffee.

Pros:

Very comfortable clean room that's well decorated with a view out to the hills and Lanyang Museum. Great location close to museum, Wushih Harbour and Waiao Beach while still being quiet. Walkable from Toucheng Station at about 20 minutes depending on your luggage, and Eddie graciously offered to give me a ride there on checkout. They also run a fantastic New York style pizza restaurant, you have to try the cherry duck!

Good value for the location and quality
Pros:

Stayed one night during my bicycling trip around Taiwan. The building is in a community of buildings apparently built for homestay, with en-suite rooms. Everything looked almost brand new. My room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It's secluded enough that parking the bicycle at the front porch was not a safety concern. The host also runs Soho New York Pizzeria downstairs, which I really liked as it tasted quite authentic.
