Tuve un problema con la estancia pero me lo arreglaron enseguida de forma muy fácil y amable. Da gusto cuando frente a un problema las personas te ponene facilidades. Volvería a ir, lo recomiendo.

We got a lot of good advice about the trip from Caraz to Vaquería with colectivos and when we came back from the Santa Cruz Trek we got a room for half price, so we could take a shower. Also we could leave some of our stuff in the house, while we were hiking.
Yoly is so nice and very good in speaking english - nice for us because our spanish is not so good 🙃

A bit of walk (5-10) up or down (gradual, not tough, and totally safe for the concerned) … but there is parking on the street if needed. The common space is cute … The rooms range from Attractive, to kinda dreary … Not much price difference, get the suits in photos (cash only)
Check in process was a bit painful …
We had given our arrival time and was well within window of time … The manager works in a tourist quiosk right near the bank at center …
The owner had a gentleman who spoke zero English nor understood my Spanish, and had zero common sense comprehension (I don’t know why he was given the check in procedure). Even after getting owner on phone, it was quite painful …
My main feedback to ownership, and they were already of the challenge.
Owner is very controlling. When the hot water wasn't working, she blamed it on "my bad energy". She was petty and basically a bully, claiming that she charged me a very "cheap" price, when she charged 10 soles more than the price listed in booking. Basically acting as if she was doing me a favor. She criticised and bullied me "for the way I carry my bags". Her toilet wasn't flushing and she blamed it on me. The plumbing had leaking and she blamed it on me. Very bad experience. Owner mistreats customers. Rooms are dark, cold and windowless. I was given a room with the toilet outside, even when I had a reservation for toilet inside. She got angry and aggressive when I refused to buy any of her tours. Avoid

Beautiful space. Kind and patient host. Incredibly comfy bed, and beautiful rooftop terrace!

Dishonest owner, who does not provide what tourists reserved, demands higher than confirmed rates, and threatens them with an immediate eviction if they complain! The place is in a constant (and VERY NOISY and dusty) state of repair/construction. The staircase leading up to my room was very dangerous, as it was ridiculously narrow and totally unprotected, making an injurious (even fatal) fall off its side highly probable, especially in the dark at night!! Availability of electricity and running water was sporadic at best. My mattress was saggy and distorted; the cheap, partially torn bedding was not comforting either. Yoly's response to any isssues raised was a threat of an immediate eviction, even in the middle of the night!!! As I later learned, she is also highly disliked by the local community, as she frequently offends everyone in town. I strongly recommend for Booking.com to delist her, as she alone is ruining the reputation of the region's accommodations, as well as Booking.com's listings overall!

Wifi didn’t work and shower was cold
The room was clean and comfortable and having a private bathroom was nice. Yoly and Willy were very helpful and kind and helped us arrange taxis for the Santa Cruz trek.

Short walk to town center.
Yoly and Willy were super friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable of our trip and the room was super clean.
