Wonderful host
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay here with Ara and his mother as our hosts.
He was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. We contacted him before arriving in Sri Lanka to arrange our transfers. He came to pick us up at Ambewela railway station when we arrived by train form Ella (end of the line because of the cyclone Ditwah). On our departing day he also drove us to Sigiriya with a stop in Kandy along the way.
Before being a host he was a Tuktuk driver, so one morning he took us to visit a tea plantation with his tuktuk.
We really appreciated the delicious (and abundant) breakfast and dinner prepared by his mother.
The room was nice and cozy, and with the blankets provided we didn't feel cold at night.
Highly recommended!

Pros:

La cabaña es muy bonita y la familia que lo lleva es super amable. Hicimos un tour con Arah y la clase de cocina con su madre. Todo perfecto y muy agradecidas por el disposición en todo momento por ayudar.

Cons:

Puntualmente no salía agua caliente, pero se sobrelleva bien.

Petite cabane avec sa petite terrasse fleurie. La dame et son fils sont d'une gentillesse, ils sont attachants. Les repas sont excellents. Très belle adresse et des personnes dont on se souviendra.

Hospitalidad increíble y habitación impecable
Pros:

Nuestra estancia fue muy agradable. La habitación era amplia y estaba muy limpia. La familia que gestiona el alojamiento es muy amable, cálida y siempre dispuesta a ayudar.

Además, ofrecen muchas facilidades para desayunar y comer allí mismo, y todo estaba muy rico. También tuvimos la comodidad de que nos ayudaran con el traslado desde la estación, lo cual fue un detalle muy apreciado.

Sin duda, un lugar muy recomendable por el trato cercano y el cuidado en todos los detalles.

Pros:

Ara and mama as we called her (I wish she was my mama) could not do enough for us, and the welcome hugs were amazing. Great property, very clean, fantastic value for money and close to the town.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the food just kept coming.

Would wholly recommend this place.

Cons:

First night was great second night a dog down the road barked alot.. but you can't do anything about that.

Pros:

La gérante est adorable et aux petits soins avec nous ! L'ambiance était tellement reposante et agréable. Le style de la chambre aussi. So cosy. Les draps sont bien chauds. Nous avons passé un excellent moment.

We had a wonderful stay at 20/20 Wood Cabana in Nuwara Eliya. The room was very cozy, with carefully chosen details that made it feel warm and welcoming. We especially appreciated the heavy blankets provided for the evening when the weather gets cooler, as well as the hair dryer available in the room.
The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they truly made us feel at home. Their hospitality made us wish we could have stayed a few more nights.
We also joined the tuk-tuk tour with Ara, which was a fantastic experience and allowed us to discover many beautiful places around Nuwara Eliya. It made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Het voelt als home away from home!

Het ontvangst door de familie was zeer hartelijk. De kamer is ruim en voorzien van alle gemakken. Je ziet dat er veel liefde en aandacht in gestoken is. We hebben samen met de moeder des huize gekookt. Heel leuk om te doen en t was heerlijk! Ontbijt is goed en ruim voldoende. Loversleap waterval is te voetblessure doen, zo ook t centrum van Nuwara Eliya

La gentillesse de l’hôte avec ses filles lors de l’accueil, le cours de cuisine qu’on a ensuite mangé le soir c’était EXCELLENT, son fils nous a conduit à la gare d’Ambewela pour prendre le train et nous a aidé à prendre les billets ! En plus, elle nous avait fait un sac avec notre petit déjeuner pour le train
Je ne peux que vous recommander d’y aller !

Cons:

Prévoir de quoi se couvrir , nous sommes dans les montagnes il ne fait pas chaud la nuit :)

Pros:

We’ve had one of the best stays here!!!! The host was so incredibly nice, we instantly felt like part of the family. Her son gave us a spontaneous tour through the tea plantations and in the evening we took a cooking class with the host. The food was just incredible and I’m so happy she shared our knowledge with us. We had enough blankets for the night and an amazing hot shower. I will always remember the warmth we were given! Kylie the cat was also super cute 😆

Een echte homestay waar je met veel warmte ontvangen wordt. Ara Silva hielp ons met alles wat we nodig hadden. Zijn mama maakt een heerlijk ontbijt (indien nodig verpakt om mee te nemen als je vroeg naar het NP gaat) en avondeten (aanrader!). Ik had laten weten dat mijn vriend jarig was en bij aankomst stond er een gepersonaliseerde taart en thee op ons te wachten! Heel lieve mensen en ideale plek voor een kort verblijf in Nuwara Eliya.
