Best Western style breakfast I had on the island of Taiwan. Staff was super nice and welcoming. The restaurant of the hotel is also excellent. My room was spacious, bright, clean the bathroom was great (pay attention to the use of toilet papers if you re a western tourists). Houwan is a lovely place with a great beach and lovely atmosphere. Beware that there aren’t any konbinis or many options around but it’s totally worth staying at blue ocean and go to Checheng for other needs.

Beautiful rooms, clean with great ac and hot, powerful shower. The lady that checked us in was super. Kind and friendly. She showed us where to eat and made us feel very welcome. A fabulous guest house right on the sea front.

The guest house is in a small village with one coffee shop that opens at 11am so few facilities there. But a cute place to stay nonetheless.
Lovely sea frontage hotel with really tasteful decor and a nice relaxed vibe. Bedroom was generous in size and spotlessly clean. The owner was easy to communicate with by using Google translate, and allowed us to store our cycles in the lobby. Breakfast was fresh, healthy and generous. Would have loved to have been able to spend more time there.

Location want beat anything at all. Come prepared, hard to get anything without transportation. It’s a small fishing village.
Location was right on the ocean, easily accessible by bicycle, and nearby sightseeing opportunities like the museum. Room had a private bathroom, air conditioning, and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious! I was very comfortable during my time here.
Location doesn't seem to have a lot of dinner options nearby, at least in the off-season!
