Pros:

La casa es una casa histórica. Llena de recuerdos y objetos antiguos... Una maravilla. La señora dueña de la casa es una mujer amable y dispuesta a ayudarte en tu estancia.

Cons:

El precio de la habitación era muy elevado para lo ofrecido. En el baño la ducha funcionaba mal y el mantenimiento era regular a ese respecto. Cabe decir que el precio de la habitación respondía a una celebración muy importante que se acontecía esos días.

Una vera casa con un'ottima accoglienza
Pros:

Si tratta di una vera e propria casa di una famiglia buddista piena di piccoli oggetti antichi e un bellissimo giardino interno.
La posizione è ottima e i proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili.

Cons:

La pulizia è da migliorare e doterei le camere di shampoo, bagnoschiuma e di asciugacapelli (almeno su richiesta) come tra l'altro è indicato nelle condizioni.

Pros:

Logeren in een koloniaal huis en ontvangen worden door de gastvrouw met thee en koekjes.
We voelden ons helemaal thuis.
Kumani, hartelijk dank dat u uw huis voor ons openstelde
De locatie was uitstekend op loopafstand van de tempel en het centrum. Ook de groeten aan Wilfred die we de laatste dag niet gezien hebben.

Pros:

I had a great stay here. Kumari and her staff were so kind and accommodating during my stay. The house felt like a home rather than a generic hotel. For an additional cost, they also made me some lovely Sri Lankan dinners. Great place to stay in the city on a budget.

Madame Kumari the Homestay owner is an amazing kind person and a terrific cook, very decent breakfast and superb dinner, this place is also the house of the former governer of one of kandy district so it's full of history which the madame (which is the wife of the late grandson of the governer)would love to tell you all about it.
Also location is good, close to the the forest and on one of the main roads to the lake (chill 15 minutes walk)

Cons:

The rooms are not perfect but it's very good value for money in my opinion and as long you are not looking for something fancy it will do the trick.

Pros:

The stay felt very familiar & the hostess was very accommodating and sweet. The whole plants & pictures/ decoration have made a unique experience.
I will come back surely when im in Kandy the next time!

Pros:

Wir waren zwei Nächte hier und haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Wir kamen leider mit einer kleinen Magenverstimmung von vorher hier an und es wurde sich sehr gut im uns gekümmert. Außerdem wurden wir mit sehr guten, hilfreichen Tipps versorgt für den Rest unserer Reise (für Magen und Aktivitäten).
Das Essen war absolut fantastisch, wir hätten gerne mehr davon essen können.
Die Lage ist top, alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Außerdem ist die Atmosphäre im Hotel toll und persönlich. Es gibt super viele Pflanzen und wir konnten im offenen Teil des Hotels Affen, ein Streifenhörnchen, Schmetterlinge und Fledermäuse sehen.

Cons:

Man hört das Hupen der Autos vor dem Hotel, was aber bei der Lage kaum anders möglich ist. Leute mit leichtem Schlaf sollten sich Ohropax mitnehmen.

Cette petite guest house est un petit bijou, cette maison de 200 ans nous replonge dans le Sri Lanka d'avant.Les repas et les petits déjeuners étaient parfaits, dans un style so British. Facile pour aller à pied dans Kandy, proche du lac et du temple de la dent, à recommander sans hésiter.

Pros:

Ein wunderschönes altes Stadthaus mit Geschichte und Atmosphäre. Die Gastgeberinnen waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war super, alles fußläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer ging in einen Hinterhof raus, sodass es in der Nacht schön ruhig war.

Pros:

Well what a lovely experince in a busy city to come across this lovely old Sri Lankan home, pefrect host and such wonder food.

Seating areas and rooms were ideal for a couple of days in Kandy, easy walking distance to a local woodland area with views and the temple of the tooth. Tuk-tuk was available for a trip to the batonic gardens but we only had 1 day availlable, so maybe next time.
