Krishnayan Heritage

The room was gorgeous, everything was clean. The staff was helpful, answering all our questions. Also playing holi was memorable in that place. The food is very nice. The driver recommended by the hotel was great he took us around to admire the beauties of Gwalior and took us all the way to Khajuraho with a visit to Orchha along the way. The landlord is a wonderful and kind person.

A well maintained authentic Haveli in center of Gwalior. The Main Building, all at ground floor level, is set back from the busy street, so the bedrooms, courtyard and dining area were away from the hustle and bustle of the city, there is a main gate, which is manned and opened to drive up to the lobby entrance, and turn the car around. There are only a few steps to navigate (unusual). The room and bathroom were well appointed, spacious, clean, and beds firm (perfect for us) with stamped cotton sheets, which provided warmth. We were there during 50F winter eves, and were provided extra blankets and heater. The Family members were lovely and gracious, the staff so helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner (upon reservation) were homemade and delicious. We loved the relaxed atmosphere after a full day of sightseeing. The courtyard has comfortable places to sit and enjoy. We became addicted to the sesame cookies they had for dessert, and ate more than we should. Upon leaving they gave s a box of cookies (they must have noticed ;) ). We cherished them back home. It's the perfect place especially if you can stay more than a night, for the tranquility, comfort and homecooked meals.

Lovely haveli-style hotel full of charm and character. An oasis of calm amidst the chaos outside! It felt peaceful, safe and secure. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Well presented room. Huge bathroom with excellent shower. Good fan and aircon. Breakfast was fantastic.

The warmth of our host who made us feel like cherished guests. The location was a quiet oasis in the busy market area.
We were served excellent tasty home cooked meals for breakfast and lunch/dinner. The hostess went over and above to give us packed lunch for our homeward journey. It was a pleasure to get to know her and learn from her about culture and history of Gwalior. She also gave us excellent tips about shopping.

Lieu magnifique, chambre et jardin, A recommander.

Hidden away off of a busy main street, Krishnayan Heritage is an old building, with lots of character and comfortable too. The staff were very helpful in making suggestions of where to visit (take their advice - we visited places not in the guide books). The dinner we had there was excellent.

Haveli magnifique en retrait de Gwalior, bruyante et poussiéreuse. L'accueil est très sympathique, la chambre était raffinée et très spacieuse. L'agence avec laquelle travaille la haveli nous a aidé à bien découvrir les richesses de Gwalior. Le guide papier du propriétaire nous a permis de découvrir Orchha, absente de nos guides touristiques français et qui en vaut la peine. Petit déjeuner très varié et dîner du soir à la demande, très fin.

L'hotel è molto grazioso e le camere hanno un fascino retrò.
Il manager dell'hotel è stato molto ospitale e gentile: ci ha introdotti alla città e dato informazioni su orari e servizi del forte di Gwalior (nella cui scuola ha lavorato per molti anni). Ci ha aiutati anche ad organizzare transfer, tour e comunicazioni con negozianti locali.

Nice historic building with great character. We enjoyed having an afternoon coffee in the garden. The owner and staff are all very kind and accommodating. We ate dinner there our first night and it was great!

Excellent food - cooked by Lalita Phalke, the matriarch, herself, authentic Maharashtrian dishes one won't otherwise find at other places. An old world atmosphere with superb staff and attention. The owner Laxman is charming and there to welcome you.

Excellent food, and catered very well for one member of our party who was a Coeliac. The building is very lovley and the owner and staff cant do enough foryou.
