Muy amable y cooperador el anfitrión
Un poco retirado del centro, pero con facilidad para transporte
Fue muy linda la estadía, la casa parece un museo de arte porque hay esculturas y pinturas muy hermosas, la amabilidad del señor Carlos también fue un plus, muy cordial y ayuda mucho si eres nuevo en la ciudad.

Habían varias hormigas, normal por el calor y que no había cierre de las ventanas para que circulara el aire, pero en un punto se subieron a la cama y a la ropa lo que nos generó algo de picazón. Pero aparte de eso todo perfecto!
Don Carlos is very friendly and willing to help (even with advice as to where to go etc.). The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was also very nice!
The bath water is cold, although that makes sense with how hot Santa Marta is

Carlos is a wonderful host. He made us very welcome and was so kind and helpful. His communication was excellent to help us get to the property. The location was perfect for a stop over if you are visiting Tayrona. It was only a few minutes to the bus and Carlos kindly walked us to the bus stop to ensure we got on ok. The accomodation was good value for money. Carlos also has a lovely puppy and a cat!
The location is a little far from the centre of Santa Marta if you want to be near there but perfect for going to Tayrona

Note: the pictures shown are of a property that I believe the owner no longer possesses. The stay is very clearly the guest room of a small, dirty house that intermittently smells like pee and was covered in piles of unfolded laundry (???). It is NOT a hotel or hostel. And it is CERTAINLY not what the pictures suggest - those are of a different property altogether, though some of the paintings clearly made the move. The sink and fridge are filthy, the bathroom door does not lock, the wifi does not work. The windows in the bedroom are cracked.
Also, far from any decent food options. There is quite literally no reason to stay here other than the pleasant host, but then again, he is probably who fraudulently listed this place.
The owner is really friendly and explains a lot about how to get where. There was a kitchen to use. The room had 2 fans which made it bearable with the heat. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. It's also at a great location, far enough from busy streets and noises but close enough to grab a bus and go anywhere.
The kitchen could have some more utilities and I would've liked a curtain in the bathroom as I could look to the street and felt that people could look up into the bathroom as well, though the owner explained that it was at a certain angle so you can't look in from the street.
Carlos was extremely attentive, kind, gave to us always the best advice. The location is in a quiet nighborhood very well served for breakfast, lunch and dinner, supermarkets as well as tiendas are 2-5 minutes away; ,and most importantely, bus connections for the center, tyrona, bahia concia are just on the main carrettera few minutes away from the house. We wouldn't have liked Santa Marta center so for us the location was key
The host is extremely nice and kind, and he also goes out of his way to make you feel confortable and to help you in anything you need.
