Einen schöneren Start in unsere Mauritius-Reise hätten wir uns kaum vorstellen können. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einem idyllischen See und bietet Ruhe und Entspannung – perfekt, um erst einmal anzukommen. Da sie etwas abseits gelegen ist, empfiehlt sich ein Mietwagen.

Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit: Sie gaben uns wertvolle Tipps zu Ausflügen und Restaurants und unterstützten uns sogar bei Buchungen. Das Frühstück am See war jeden Tag frisch und köstlich, und auch das Abendessen können wir nur empfehlen – liebevoll zubereitet und einfach lecker.

Sollte es uns wieder nach Mauritius verschlagen, werden wir ohne Zweifel genau hierher zurückkehren.

Ein wahrer Schatz, versteckt in einer kleinen Seitenstraße. Die Unterkunft und Umgebung ist traumhaft. Die Gastgeber sind so herzlich, zuvorkommend, man merkt ihnen an,dass Sie es mit Herzblut machen. Frühstück und das Abendessen immer frisch und lecker. Die sehr guten Bewertungen sind absolut gerechtfertigt.

Great facilities, big and nice room and beautiful swimming pool. But the best were the hosts, Roshan and Sang who make every effort to make guests feel at home. Very recommended

The houses were very nice and rooms had an awesome view. The family managing the facility were very kind and helpful, and their breakfasts/dinners were great.

The dinners were the best food I had so far in Mauritius.

Such a lovely homestay with a very friendly and welcoming family. The room was in great condition, as per images and very clean. Small but nice pool area. For breakfast you are served fresh fruits, yoghurt, bread, croissants and pancakes. Once I told them I cannot eat gluten the next day they even went out and bought me some gluten free rice cakes from the shop.

The owners are some of the kindest people we have ever met! They are very attentive to details and do a highly professional job to make you feel not simply well taken care of, but more than that - a very appreciated and dear guest. It was very nice chatting to them. They organized a catamaran trip for us.
The food is excellent, both the breakfast and dinner - high quality local ingredients, very well cooked.
Our room was very spacious and comfortalby furnished, with a large terrace overlooking the paradise-like garden and the lake.
There is no wifi in the rooms but we had mobile data on the phones.
The area itself isn't the nicest to walk around, however by a car you can reach Belle Mar public beach in 3 min.

Horisun really exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious and bathroom also. Very clean and calm. The AC was great. They changed the towels every day. The owners are the nicest people that I have met and talking to them was a fun experience. They arranged us a tasty dinner and arranged a taxi when we went on. I was breathless when I saw their beautiful garden. The walk to the beach was only 10 minutes. I could go on but I have to say you can't go wrong visiting Horisun when you want to stay at Belle Mare.

The Horisun is a unique family run beautiful little gem in middle of an island full of all-inclusive resorts. It’s not directly at the beach but at a lake and the ambiance and the gardens are beautiful as well as the rooms. The rooms are spacious and all have a lovely balcony and everything is very tastefully furnished. The owners really make you feel at home and are just lovely! If you wish the classic all-inclusive resort holiday this location is not for you but if you’re looking for an unique place to feel home and relax this just the place to go.

Lovely staff and ground dood was amazing

The staff was amazing, everything was arranged with so much love, the food was excellent. The area has an amazing garden. Everything is so green - and clean!

This place is not a hotel, it's a warm welcoming home. Location: the place is very private and peaceful. It's a nice location to visit the whole north east coast. Food: the food is cooked with love, with a perfect fusion of Mauritian and Thai cuisine. Staff: the family that owns this place has poured all their heart into it! Overall, we had a wonderful time. We will be back.

A beautiful building in beautiful surroundings. The staff are the friendliest anywhere on the island. The lake-view room is large and the bed very comfortable. The pool and the breakfast area are stunning and right below the rooms.

We had an exceptional stay in this accommodation. It was the perfect location to relax next to the lake before our departure from the island. Very peaceful location with nice view and nature. When we booked, we were a bit concerned of mosquitoes due to its proximity to the lake, but we had no problem at all the 3 days we stayed there. The room was very spacious and clean, the personnel very friendly, and helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast was hearty, with many local products. Totally recommended!
