Hotel Avadia Del Mar

Great location, almost beach front. Nice staff, cute Chihuahuas, decent newer A/C. Good free breakfast. Only negative was a very uncomfortable mattress on the double bed. It really needs to be thrown out. The twin mattress was OK. Photo is from the rooftop terrace.

I had a wonderful stay! The morning breakfast was a great way to start each day—simple yet satisfying and thoughtfully prepared. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed, from local recommendations to directions around the city.

The location is also a major highlight—centrally located and within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping spots, and local entertainment. It made exploring the area so convenient.

Overall, I highly recommend Avadia Del Mar for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-situated place with top-notch hospitality!

zona demasiado peligrosa, ni siquiera uber acepta viajes, se nos tapo el inodoro y nunca lo llegaron a arreglar

Dirty very limited access for transportation unsafe area

Pictures are very misleading. Hotel had water issues the first couple of days of my stay. Not a diverse breakfast menu. Only positive thing I will say is that it’s literally walking distance to the beach & the Staff was super incredible & helpful when needed.

The property messaged me and asked when we would arrive. I told them around 12 am as we had an international flight and had to go through customs. When we arrived at the hotel there was no one there. We waited about 20 minutes but the entire time the taxi driver kept insisting that this hotel was in a dangerous area and he could take us to a safer location. I wasn’t sure at first but eventually we left and the taxi driver did take us to a much better area in boca chica where we were able to rent a different room. Expedia tried to contact the hotel to get a refund on my behalf but they were unable to make contact with the hotel. Fortunately, Expedia did come through and they refunded me for the stay.

Pequeños detalles que se deben mejorar y que mejoran la estadía, No hay NADA en que colgar y colocar la ropa, en el baño, no existe al menos una puntilla para colocar la toalla, el grifo esta muy corrido del lavamanos y el agua se escurre por fuera, ademas no esta bien ajustado, las sillas del balcón no las limpian antes que llegue el huesped y lo mas terrible: el segundo día no me dieron desayuno, siendo que había avisado que lo requeria hacia las 06:30.
Es bonito pero con muy poco diero puede ser mejo

Lo peor fue el internet! Deberían mejor ese punto!! Aparte de esto, todo estuvo exelente.

Excelente todo, me sentí muy bien atendida por las personas encargadas del hotel, muy cerca de la playa, el desayuno estaba delicioso, siempre estuvieron pendiente de mi, por qué viaje sola. Si pudiera dar más estrellas las pondría por qué simplemente todo estaba muy bien. Completamente recomendado.

This property is not safe. Don’t stay here. Door wouldn’t lock, balcony door wouldn’t lock either; Bathroom faucet didn’t work. I called Expedia to get my $ back and stay at another hotel that was safer. They were not able to get the property to give me a refund. I still didn’t spend the night in a shady unsafe place so I had to pay full price for another hotel closer to town, but at least I was safe and had peace of mind.
