It was away from the road and the view of the hills was really relaxing. The balcony was a great size and lovely to sit there in the evenings listening to the owl.
The pool wasn’t very inviting
The location is great; it’s on a hill with lovely views and is 10 mins walk from a gorgeous beach. The apartment we rented overlooks the pool and was quiet and had a lovely terrace which was super for a sundowner. The pool is clean and the grounds are well kept.
There no indoor lounge or sitting area, which is weird for an apartment. The bedrooms were fine but basic.
The ac was ok but didn’t reach the main bedroom. The kitchen was the most basic I have ever experienced and was pretty useless. The original job doesn’t work so there’s an electric hot plate but no socket anywhere that can be reached. There’s a microwave and kettle that barely reach the one socket. There’s no hot water in the sink and no washing up liquid, cloth or teatowels provided. There’s also hardly any cooking equipment, no knife for chopping or cooking spoons etc. We mentioned the lack of hot water but it wasn’t resolved.
They provide a couple of tiny towels, no beach or pool towels. The bathroom is super basic with one loo roll and no soap, body wash, shampoo or anything provided.
Kostos is warm and friendly but it would t take much to make the place so much better.
It also wouldn’t break the bank to provide a few cushions on the loungers by the pool which were hard plastic and not easy to relax on.
Kostas is a very charismatic Greek- welcoming and always ready to help with anything we needed. The place is truly picturesque, with wonderful staff. Everything is kept very clean, with daily housekeeping. The beds are super comfortable.
There’s a beautiful view of the green hill from the pool, though it closes rather early – at 6pm.
The beach is just a 5-minute walk down a scenic little path with steps. There’s a small shop just two turns away, but you won’t find fresh fruits or vegetables there.
The ensemble of studios/apartments is set on a hill and overlooks on one side the other hills. Overall the outdoor space is pleasant and the garden areas are well kept.
The place is surely overpriced. All apartment facilities are very basic, with cheap equipment everywhere which is not well maintained. The apartment we rented was quite dated, you could see that some renovation was done recently but pretty cheaply. The worst part is that the owner imposes extra costs at arrival. We had to pay 10 euros for 12 bottles of water (shop price is 0.50 euros per bottle) which were already brought in the flat. We stayed only 3 nights so obviously we were not going to consume all that water but we were left with no option but to pay cash for the water. The owner also tried to sell us a hugely overpriced transfer to the airport. He offered to take us for 45 euros a ride (saying that he was making a good price just for us as normally it would cost 55 euros), while in the end we paid only 25 euros by booking a regular taxi that came right at our door to pick us up. This is pretty dishonest from the owner. The pool is open only until 6pm, which we found out only when we arrived. The pool furniture is also quite cheap. I have to add also that if you are coming with kids you need to be mindful of the fact that the street right outside the 'villa', which you have to take to go to the beach, is pretty dangerous with cars running fast and no pavement. The beach is not far but you would still have to walk for a bit on this narrow road. If our stay had cost half of what we paid, I would have given a higher rating as I would consider that for little you get little. But considering the high price plus the low level of service, we cannot give a higher score. For less money than what we paid here, we have rented much more comfortable and well kept accomodation with lovely owners in other islands. Stay away!
Posizione ottima del residence
Cucina piccola e poco attrezzata... praticamente è un invito a "mangiar fuori" ma un cliente si aspetta di poter cenare o pranzare anche in appartamento vista la disponibilità dell'angolo cottura!
location is perfect, up a steep hill but my 77 year old mother managed! Clean, tidy, comfortable and perfect for our stay. Our host was on hand to help and easy car parking, plenty of tavernas a stone throw away too
very minor but only one plug socket in kitchen rather precariously placed!!!
Lovely surroundings close to a beautiful beach and good restaurants nearby. The view from the balcony was very nice. Also the host was kind.
Not much to say. All sun-beds by the pool were occupied a few days in a row, but mainly because the other tenants.
Lovely apartment right next to the pool with beautiful views across the countryside valley. Close to shops restaurants, beach and bus stop at the bottom of driveway that has regular service up and down the coast. Super clean and cleaned every day and the grounds are beautifully maintained.
The walls don't join the ceiling, so although separate rooms they're not soundproof.
The location was perfect, close enough to walk to beach and tavernas but also quiet enough to sleep peacefully at night. The views from the terrace are beautiful. It was kept spotlessly clean.
Despite requesting a shuttle collection from the airport via Booking messages were were left waiting for 30 mins and had to call the owner who came promptly but then still tried to charge full price (50 euros) for the service. On arrival we were surprised to see that the pool which we were hoping to enjoy in the evenings closed at 6pm. We were also surprised to be asked to pay for drinking water on arrival given that the villa’s tap water was not fit for consumption. Cleaners come every day whether you would prefer them to or not! The WiFi service is incredibly slow and we gave up using it. The single air conditioning unit worked but was in need of upgrade as it struggled to cool the villa and made very loud noises when switched on. One of the bedroom drawer fronts came off in my hand every time I tried to open it. The plug socket situation in the kitchen is bordering on dangerous, the kitchen equipment and utensils very limited and the hob is actually an electric ring balanced on the original fitted hob (which presumably no longer works).
Beautiful apartment a short walk from the beach. Nice pool, daily cleaning. Very nice and attentive host. We really enjoyed our stay.
Highly reccomended place!
Beautifully kept and hospitable running it.
Nothing. A couple of issues were resolved quickly and without fuss.
The views from the balcony were amazing! And the room was spotless. The management and staff were so friendly and very helpful.
That one of the rooms didn't have air-conditioning, and it took all night to cool it off with the ac from the living room.
Everywhere, the villas, the pool area and the whole site was spotlessly clean. The host was helpful without being overbearing. It was only a short walk to the bakery, a little supermarket and a good choice of bars and restaurants. The Troulos beach is nice, with a few restaurants but we also liked Maratha beach which was a bit quieter.
It wasn’t a problem for us but it is a hilly resort and there are about 80 steps up to these villas!
The balcony was great
The aprtment was advertised as 2 seperate bedrooms but it was one bedroom then two beds in what is the lounge area so no seperate door of its own. Very awkward for anyone in there as the guests in seperate bedroom have to walk throiugh lounge/bedroom to get outside to balcony or to the bathroom and kitchen. Also it's at the top of some very steep steps and then a steep ramp to the apartments so no good if your not extremely fit
