Beautiful place and Marc was the perfect host.
Located right on the beach at the edge of town. Easy walk into centre along beach or the road. Plenty of communal areas to watch ocean sunset. Staff friendly and helpful. Relaxed vibe.
Bring mosquito repellent. Sometimes loud at night given nearby bar, but given Mancora's reputation as a party town I suspect you cannot get away form that.
The property was so cute and so well located, literally steps away from the beach. The apartment was well equipped and very spacious.
The property in front of "playa del amor". And the only staff member that was working was very friendly
Firstly, the room was infested with mosquitoes and some spiders. While the presence of insects is common in certain areas, the number at this property was excessive. To put it into perspective, one night we could no longer tolerate it and decided to try our luck at another hotel. At the alternative hotel, not only did they provide an insect repellent device as part of the standard amenities, but even before using it, the room had significantly fewer mosquitoes compared to the one in this hotel, where they were visibly flying all around upon entering.
Secondly, the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. We stayed for four nights, and at no point was our room cleaned during the day. This lack of housekeeping made the stay feel even less comfortable.
You couldn't be any closer to the sea with amazing view over the ocean.. Fernando the caretaker was always kind and helpful..
Beach front location
The place is starting to look a bit tired and no longer matches the photos.
Beautiful place, with an unbeatable view. Really gorgeous beach on the doorstep, with very few people on it, felt private! Gorgeous walk along the beach to main town but also food/shops available close or a quick 5 soles tuk tuk ride away. We were at a quiet time but you can see how social the place can be with more people around. Really recommend this gorgeous spot and Fernando was super helpful in easy to communicate with.

Nice location a short walk from the main town.
It felt like it was closed down, access to the beach was bordered off most days (you could access from the front side door still) and the room needed a deep clean. Restaurant was closed but we only found out when we tried to go for dinner on the first night.

This place was dirty! Every time we entered the room it smells like urin! The towels were very smelly! First day we walked to the store to buy things to clean the room! We were asking for cleaning but they told us that they Dont do that because it’s an apartment for Ling Time Stay!
This place was a nice hostel once, but died years ago! Sorry, I Dont recommend!
The location is good. You get a private room for the price of a dorm.
The hostel might have a bright past, but nowadays it is a very run-down place with no atmosphere, people nor staff – staying alone in this big place is a rather spooky experience. The restaurant is closed. The passage from the hostel to the beach is closed – I mean physically, with thick nailed barriers. The toilets are not cleaned. There is no kitchenette in the room. No fans nor mosquito nets in the room. The wifi didn't work once during my five-day-stay. The fairly good rating on Booking remains a mystery to me.

The location is great! It's right on the beach, very convenient for a quick swim at any time.
The staff are always available and super helpful, and their pancakes & coffee were honestly 10/10.

- lack of cleaniness (had 3 cockroach, asked for a clean, but they forgot it/the fridge smelled after not to be used for a long time)
- you can walk 15-20 min to the center, at night I wouldn't recommend it. Mototaxis charge 5 soles; Grocerystore is not nearby the Hostel
- there were no other guests; the first days seemed a little bit abondand as the owner wasn't there. Stuff not very professional.
