Pros:

Nice modern rooms with outdoor space, fully functional kitchen space with coffee machine. Situated next to the katrin cable car (with free use via the hotel) which has an amazing hiking trail.

Cons:

Local bus is only hourly until 6pm, otherwise a nice half hour walk along the creek to the town center. Not a negative as such but something to consider if you don't have a car.

Okay stay with some issues
Pros:

It’s a new, “self service” chic hotel with interesting layout, just next to the funicular. Common area (“living room”) is nice, includes plenty of space and full kitchen, there’s also pay-as-you-drink beer available. Our room was new, with a big (non-private) terrace. Parking is no problem, car would be a nice-to-have as the hotel is a bit further away from city center.

Cons:

There’s a few issues, tho: Our room was damp smelling when we arrived (we were able to ventilate it, happened again after a day trip), there’s also no AC, only a portable ventilator.

Room had a nice, spacious bathroom, but sink is for some reason not in the bathroom, but outside, in the bedroom. It is not convenient or smart, just slightly annoying in some use cases. The standard room was also a bit dark (facing the mountain). No breakfast is included, you can make your own or order delivery.

The idea of self-service hotel is that it’s cheaper AND/OR better service. This one is neither, not cheap and just okay.

Tolle Unterkunft auf Fahrradtour im Sommer
Pros:

Etwas außerhalb von Bad Ischl, für uns mit Fahrrad perfekt gelegen. Toller Fahrrad Raum, wir konnten sogar unsere staubigen Räder waschen. Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Küche und Kühlschrank vorhanden im Gemeinschaftsteil. Da keine Klimaanlage hat man uns einen Ventilator ins Zimmer gestellt, da es sehr heiss war.

Nette Unterkunft an der Talstation
Pros:

Schöne neue Unterkunft mit guter Ausstattung. Sehr sauber modern und gepflegt.

Cons:

Die Matratze war leider sehr weich. Leider war es sehr heiß und es gibt keine Klimaanlage - öffnen des Fenster leider nicht möglich da ein Fliegennetz fehlt.
Kaffeemaschine macht leider nur schwarzen Kaffee. Zimmer sehr hellhörig.

Alles superschön - Kommen sicher ein viertes Mal wieder

Cons:

Booking.com code für den selfcheck-in ging nicht, aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau und hat nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun.
