Fantastisks saimnieks, kurš pats apkalpo viesus pie bāra, uztur sarunas un esošie viesi jūtas, kā viena liela grieķu ģimene. Tādu uzņemšanu nekur nebijām piedzīvojuši! Baseins, ar iespēju baudīt sauli turpat blakus bāram ar vēsiem, atspirdzinošiem dzērieniem.

Angry and extremely rude owner

Cons:

Unfortunately due to traffic and some unforseen circumstances our arrival was at 21:10. The hotel sent no message during the booking process. Later at 20:08 they sent a text saying check in is still 20:00, eventhough on their page it says 20:30. Regardless they called me at 20:10 when I relayed that Unfortunately our arrival will be a little delayed. Upon arriving I profusely apologized for the late arrival. But the man at reception was greatly annoyed. Cursing at me in Greek then proceeding to threaten that he would not give the keys. He asked me "do you think you own this place?". After this he first showed us to the wrong room which was not cleaned before giving the keys to the right room. The worst behavior I have experienced from hotel staff/owner, completely spoiling my experience.

Bon spot pour profiter de Matala et ses plages

Hotel à 2 pas du centre de la ville, dans un endroit calme.

Cons:

Les erreurs fortuites ou infortuites pour le règlement des taxes ou boissons.
Petit déjeuner très simple.

Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig und Matala ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch die Beschreibung passt und das Preis Leistung Verhältnis stimmt für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie.
Man wird freundlich Empfangen und es ist sauber.

Cons:

Leider ist das Internet wirklich schlecht. Der Besitzer hat mir netterweise ein Zimmer näher beim Router gegeben - hat aber nicht viel genützt.

Pros:

Everyone working there was super hospitable and friendly. We really felt very welcome at this family owned hotel. The bed was super comfy and the layout of the balcony so well thought out that you could sit in the sun or the shade. Breakfast was absolutely fine, it seems that some people writing the reviews expect the same choice and quality of breakfast as in a 5* resort.

Lovely stay with very hospitable, friendly family owners,
Pros:

Very hospitable owner. Lovely, friendly family who would do anything to make our stay a good one. Nice breakfast which was more than enough to start the day. We arrived very late the first night but owner was there to welcome us. Nice area to sunbathe and swim in pool. Overall a lovely trip as we returned to Matala after 39 years!

Cons:

Room a bit on the small side, but comfortable with balcony. Wifi in room a bit weak.

We walked over to Red Beach - beautiful, with a lovely mojito bar, which always helps. Then we visited the caves by Mata
Pros:

A very comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, and a short walk from the centre of Matala - a very special place.
On arrival we were met by Stelios who was lovely - so welcoming and grit, and he couldn’t have been more helpful.
All the members of his family that we met were equally wonderful. Hugely recommended.
