Maran Residence

We stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved this place. Our room was amazing - huge, clean, comfortable beds, and good facilities. The front staff were so lovely - professional, polite, attentive, but always very genuine too. They helped with everything. Hotel facilities were great, we made use of the gym, pool (cold at this time of year, but very refreshing!). Breakfasts were nice - you can order from a choice of 3 set breakfasts or construct your own. Although the restaurant doesn’t serve lunch or dinner you can order outside food to the hotel and the staff helped get it to our room. They even made us a bespoke breakfast the night before our departure as we had to leave early in the morning for our flight home. Just an amazing place and experience all round and we cannot recommend it highly enough! Thank you Maran team!

The Maran Residence was a wonderful, calm, immaculate haven in the midst of the wonderful, frenetic, rapidly expanding city that is Cairo.
Driving into the elegant enclave of magnificent houses, protected from the noise, ‘hussle and bussel’ of the area, was a real boost to our energy after the journey up from Luxor with three teenage girls, two grandparents and three adults.
A warm bright and cheery welcome from the team; help with our bags, introduction to our rooms(including an upgrade!) and a tour of the facilities.
The rooms were immaculate; spacious, pristine clean with great beds and linen.
The general areas were large, imposing and light, leading through the dining room to a near outdoor seating area with a small pool(cold!) and jacuzzi.
We had great breakfasts with lots of choice and eat in one night in the dining room utilising ‘home delivery’ - very easy!
Taxis(Uber we used) was easy to find and although we were some way out of the city centre it was fast and well connected to get to the Pyramids, GEM, downtown and Cairo International.
We would highly recommend Maran Residence and will stay there again for our next visit.

Great breakfast great staff beautiful facility

The Maran is a good place to stay. It is a Residence - with rooms/suites, a pool, small bar, breakfast area and pool. 24 hour reception. It's location in New Cairo looks a little bit away from the main sites (e.g. Giza) but in practice was manageable (circa 40 mins). It is in a recent development and the facilities in the room are modern. It is a 15/20 minute walk from Downtown (5 minutes by Uber) which has a good range of upmarket shops and eating places and restaurants (particularly Jouzoor - Palestinian restaurant). It is welcoming and service is good. We were fortunate to have the services of a driver who picked us up and other transport links would need to be explored. We stayed there twice during a week's tour (5 nights in total)

It was a perfect stay, healthy breakfasts, nice swimming pool, everything is on spot. Thanks to all the staff, especially to Mr.Abdo Barbara for his hospitality and helpfulness.
