Location close to the beach
Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing due to several cleanliness and maintenance issues:
- The toilet was extremely dirty and had clearly not been cleaned since the previous guest - there were still traces of faeces left inside.
- The shower was also unclean, and the water did not drain properly.
- The towels provided were old and had an unpleasant odour.
- The bathroom door could not be closed as it was blocked by the floor.
- Mosquito nets were missing for several windows, including those in the bathroom and bedrooms.
- The sound insulation was very poor — we could clearly hear switching the lights off/on, conversations, coughing and footsteps from the neighbouring apartments.
- There was a strong smell of oil on the terrace, likely coming from the heating system.
- The outdoor table was dirty and covered in dust.
- The entrance door lock did not seem secure - it could easily be opened with a screwdriver.
- The main gate to the property did not close properly, allowing stray dogs to enter, which made it uncomfortable to sit or eat outside.
Considering these issues, a daily rate of over €120 is unreasonable for the current condition of the apartment. A simple "sorry "from the administrator of the apartment when paying after the first night is unfortunately not sufficient.

Voor 134 euro per nacht hadden we hogere verwachtingen, maar de prijs was waarschijnlijk duurder vanwege de feestdagen .
We kregen geen rondleiding bij aankomst, en wisten ook niet dat jezelf in een meterkast een knop moest omzetten om warm water te krijgen, daar kwamen we de 2de dag pas achter.
Krissaia Seaside Suites is absolutely very nicely located: it is very close (50 m) from the beach! Furthermore there is a spacious balcony, the apartments are spacious enough for the two of us, and they were relaxed that we could check-out at 12:00h.
A few things we didn't like: there were a lot of annoying mosquitos in our room during the night, which we didn't expect these in April yet. Nonetheless, we wanted to open the window for some fresh air during the night, but we couldn't use the mosquito net due to the fact that it was broken....
However there is a Nespresso machine, to make coffee we would have also liked a coffee filter thingy and/or a French press in the kitchen.
Our final verdict is a 7 out of 10!
The apartment we stayed in was lovely, had an incredible sea view, and was in an excellent location, close to Galaxidi centre and the beach. The people were incredibly courteous, and the place was quite clean. We had an excellent vacation and thoroughly loved our stay.
Everything was great.
The room was recently renovated, very clean, spacious, with a nice balcony and the beach just a couple of minutes walk away. A special thanks to the lady that was cleaning the room as she was very friendly and kept the room constantly clean and tidy during our stay.
Our room was at the ground floor. The first floor seemed to be inhabited by locals and some nights it was a bit noisy.
I liked the place , the see and entire surrounding. Galaxidi is lovely place with historical tradition, authentic architecture and beautiful port in a bay, with excellent fish restaurants and hospitable waiters and sellers.
