Melrose

Everything was great. Maria is such a wonderful host, very warm and helpful always. Gave us the best advice to get around the island. Breakfast was brought every morning as an extra. The balconies have privacy from the neighbours. The location offers great mountain landscape in a quiet area but within walking distance to the town. Very clean room with towels and linen replaced every day. I would not hesitate to book this place again and I totally recommend it.

L’accueil très chaleureux, la gentillesse et disponibilité de Maria . Elle est venue nous chercher en voiture à l’arrivée de notre ferry et a été de très bons conseils pour les visites et les prochains voyages à venir ☺️

Il Melrose è una piacevole struttura situata poco distante dal centro di Skopelos, raggiungibile a piedi in circa 10min. le stanze erano molto ampie e dotate di tutto l'occorrente anche come cucina, ottime le pulizie giornaliere e cambio di asciugamani, ottima la colazione che ogni giorno veniva lasciata in frigorifero dalla proprietaria, ogni giorno diversa ma sempre con yogurt greco fresco liscio o con confettura, dolci vari e prosciutto e formaggio, burro e alcune volte le uova, ogni mattina inoltre alle 7.30 la proprietaria Maria, persona squisita che parla anche un po' di Italiano, ti lasciava un filone di pane già tagliato sempre fresco di fornaio. Bella l'ambientazione serale con mille piccole luci accese in giardino e sulla struttura. Ottimo il servizio di transfer offerta dalla proprietaria sia all'arrivo in porto che alla partenza.

Maria and the team at Melrose were so welcoming and helpful! From helping with bus schedules when our ferry changes, to picking us up from the port. They made us feel so welcome! We loved the two apartments and big balconies, very practical with kitchen and laundry in room. They also provided a delicious breakfast in the room.

L'ubicació de l'allotjament és ideal. Ets aprop del centre caminant (uns 10 minuts) i alhora et trobes en un entorn tranquil i amb bones vistes. L'apartament és ampli i amb totes les comoditats que hom pot desitjar. Bon aire condicionat, cuina equipada, esmorzar abundòs i saludable a la nevera i pa fresc cada dia. Neteja molt acurada amb canvi de llençols i tovalloles diari. I un tracte immillorable per part de la Maria, la propietària. Molt atenta i detallista. Un encant de persona.

Ogni giorno in frigo veniva messa la prima colazione fresca con yogurt affettati e pane.

Πολύ όμορφο μέρος σε σχετικά μικρή απόσταση από κέντρο, καθαρό και ευρύχωρο δωμάτιο, ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό, θα το ξαναπροτιμούσαμε!

The room was very clean, big and comfortable and the garden was very beautiful. There were many things that were provided by the host which cannot be found in other houses. The bed sheets and the towels were changed every day. There was a washing machine in the room which was extra bonus for our family. The service was excellent as the host was so kind to drive us from the port and to the port when we left. Another extra bonus was the breakfast items that were left in our room without any extra charge. Every day fresh bread was left to our door and a big variety of other products were provided in the room which surprised us (different kinds of coffee, sugar, honey, jam, eggs, butter, cheese and ham, milk, yoghurt, oats and flakes, cake, croissants, juice and even fruit). In general, the house was quite close to the centre (approx. 12 min walk). The host is really amazing and communicated quickly from the moment we booked and throughout our stay when we had questions.

Καταπληκτική η τοποθεσία, η κυρία Μαρία ευγενέστατη. Μεγάλη κ ωραία έκπληξη το δωρεάν πρωινό κάθε μέρα στο δωμάτιο κ το δώρο αποχαιρετισμού. Η καθαριότητα σε άλλο επίπεδο, οι χώροι του καταλύματος πολύ ωραίοι κ προσεγμένοι. Σίγουρα το συστήνουμε ειδικά για οικογένειες & φιλικό στα κατοικίδια!!!

I cannot praise the Melrose highly enough. The views are lovely. The location is ideal: close enough to town for an easy walk in and far away enough to have beautiful views and a very quiet stay. Our apartment was large and well equipped with much attention to thoughtful details. It had two lovely balconies and was light, spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with everything one could need, including the food for breakfast complete with fresh bread delivered every morning in front of the door. But what stood out most for us was the incredible kindness and attentiveness of our hosts. My husband and I must have remarked to each other how nice they were at least 15 times in a 24 hour period. Maria picked us up at the ferry and had our luggage brought to the room, on departure she met us in town at the ferry with our luggage which we had left in our room. She could not do enough for us and refused our attempt to display our gratitude with a generous tip. We came from a conference on Skiathos where we had been invited to a five star hotel but our fondest memories by far are of our stay at the Melrose. I cannot recommend it highly enough
