The location was perfect.
It would have been nice to have more space for clothes & stuff in the room.
good cost, location and privacy. In the past, I had good rooms at this airbnb.
The room they gave me was horrendous. The AC didn’t work so I was overheating at night and could barely get any quality sleep. The staff are extremely slow at responding to messages and their customer service number straight up doesn’t work. I kept asking for a different room, toilet paper, and a fix for the heat but they never responded. It was only until the ceiling was leaking due to the rain that they finally responded and gave me instructions for a different room. That’s another thing, the room they have me had ceiling damage and the rain water wasn’t literally falling onto the bed.
No communication from staff or location to make a request or even verify the correct location. Don't stay here unless you want to waste money.
The property is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood with plenty of parks, grocery stores and restaurants nearby.
Just a 4m walk towards bus stops if you’re heading downtown or want to take the red/blue lines so transportation is great.
There’s a working fridge, sink and microwave.
The bathroom was clean and tidy with running hot water but the toilet didn’t flush at night so I had to fill a pitcher to flush it manually.
Cleanliness was lackluster, there’s a musky smell when entering the property and also the room itself, although the AC quickly gets rid of it.
The room was dusty, the cabinets had crumbs and there were a few bugs as well.
The desk has a black oil/grease that stained my shirt and I had to wipe it clean with napkins.
Responsive owner.
N/A
The house is conveniently located in Andersonville and transportation to get around the city is at your fingertips. Access to the room was very easy and when I had a question, they responded right away.
Loved the area and the comfort of the bed
Alex is rude and despite telling me to inform him of any issues got mad when I informed him the window ac unit was filled with mold and making me feel unwell in the middle of a Chicago heatwave.
The house smells intoxicated!!
I liked that i got a whole apartment to myself without having to pay "whole apartment" prices. You get your own shower, and there is a full kitchen to boot.
Here is where things go awry. I stayed here for one night then had to check out, go to Skokie for the only motel room I could find that wasn't either over $350/night or infested with vermin. My first nights stay ended with the owner banging on the door while I was packing up, yelling at me to "get out!". I am pretty sure there are better ways to handle my oversleeping.
When I came back on Sunday afternoon, after trying to confirm I had the same space rented for more than two hours, I entered the apartment and found that the bed linens had not been changed, the towels were the same ones I used on Friday night, the garbage hadn't been taken out, and the only thing that changed in the kitchen was my leftovers from Friday dinner had been thrown away., and the few dishes I used had been washed (still sitting in the drying rack.) There were even a pair of fake eyelashes glued to the wall, and a bit of glitter, indicating that possibly some queens of rather drag variety had used this space as a landing pad the night before (while I was exiled to SKOKIE!)
Around 1145AM, the sound of the back door opening and closing roused me out of the air conditioned bedroom. "Hello?!" said the owner, who standing in the kitchen. After I turned the corner into that area, he simply told me to get out. Again. I paid for two nights, and I told him as much. He asked (yelled) if I had paid, and I told him yes. He then slowly gathered his things and left muttering to himself.
I had to ask for more towels. The pots and pans are, shall we say, "low budget", and the aforementioned "get out" is no way to treat a guest. Im sorry. I can handle a lot of nonsense, but hearing "get out" again was the straw that broke somethings back.
Convenient, room clean thanks for providing free toiletries, free WiFi
Difficult to contact the owners, they wouldn’t honor an early check in so I had to sit outside for an hour, smoke detector went off in the middle of the night and I don’t smoke so it might need new battery, the apartment smelled like marijuana and the bathroom is kinda dirty.
Okolica była ładna
Obskurny dom, brudna podłoga w łazience. Bardzo wilgotno w pokoju i nieświeże powietrze
Not much
Very unresponsive like pulling teeth to talk to someone
